Bottle. Pours black with an ivory/ very light tan head. Chocolate and malt aroma with even a small cherry note. Very thin mouth feel with an active carbonation. Chocolate, caramel and a slight nuttiness. Lasting chocolate aftertaste.

500ml bottle from Ultra. Medium tan head with good lacing, fades quickly. Reddish brown body. Modest aroma of bread and chocolate malt. Quite sweet, easily drinkable.

Bottle from an Oslo supermarket. Poured a cloudy medium brown with a frothy off white head. The aroma is dry and dusty leading to a medium bitter, malty, nutty flavour. Not as good as I expected but far from being a bad beer.

Bottle @ ABCBeers, Dean’s scared of beer tasting. Clear brown pour, foamy light tan head. Aroma is roasted, creamy, bread, yeasty and with some fruits. Flavor is roasted, slightly spicy, creamy and a bit watery. Quite simple but well drinkable.

Tap. Light hazy chestnut brown with a small white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is chocolate, bisquits, coffee, nuts, light roasted malt, rye bread, light herbal/spicy hops. Probably the best beer sold in grocery stores in Norway. Dark brown with light brown head. Quite malty flavours, but really good balanced with good amount of hops.

Bottle, 50 cl. Hazy reddish brown, low beige head, good retention, nice laceworks. Deep roasted aroma, light nutty, smooth caramel, rugbrød, fruity hops. Medium body, average to lively carbonation. Taste is roast, sweet caramel, licorice, citrussy hops, nice burned bitter finish. Very flavorful for the abv.

Pours a very frothy airy tall head which settles down to something a little thicker. Aroma really pleasant and as it tastes thick warming toffee fudge malts with a background of toasted weetabix.

Newcastle Brown, eat humble pie.
