Crushed with Jakebra. It’s aight. Very roasty flavor is pleasant, but it’s really strangely carbonated so it’s not as smooth as it could be. Taste is very nice though and is definitely the bright spot of this brew.

Bottle, 50cl, from ICA, Oslo. Batch 431 (BB 10.6.2011). Deep reddish brown colour, clear (but yeast sediments when bottle is near empty) . Two-inch light beige head reducing to a fine film. Dry, roasted malt aroma with a bit over-the-top spiciness (cloves, nutmeg, coffee). Light/medium body, watery. Fruity-bitter aftertaste.

Botle from Cavie. Medium brown pour with a white head. Aroma is lots of toffee, sweet, candy, a little chocolate. Taste is chocolate, earthy coffee, a little caramel, and sweet nuts.

dark brown with thin and huge white head, likely an old version and this gives evidence for infection. nose of chocolate malt. firm bitterness before chocolate malt with high crystal before some piney hop notes. overall there seems to be an overriding sourness that provides some more evidence for infection. tough to evaluate

500ml bottle. Clear red glimmering darkest brown with huge stable frothy lacing tan head. Huge head gives only way to dry and slightly grassy hoppy aroma - no underlying malt notes detectable. Taste is grassy, dry, minimally soapy and sourish on a weak malt basis. So-so.

500ml bottle. Dark cloudy brown pour with ABSURD amounts of fluffy slightly brown head. Too much head actually, it was almost impossible to pour. I had to wait 20 minutes before the head had subsided enough to drink. There were also some larger particulates in the beer that settled to the bottom. Bad batch?. Slightly sweet aroma, and a little bit solventy. Also something really pleasing on the nose that I couldn’t pick. Taste has lots of coffee on the back end and some biscuit, sweetness and slightly sour on the mid palate. Really nice brew, almost stout like in bitterness and the coffee notes.

Gift from SJ. I liked it, but it fell a bit short. I noted a little, chocolate, vanilla, bread, roast and caramel malts. A bit thin, but ok.
