COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

It’s mahogany-red with a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and nuts. The flavour has notes of roasted malt, karamel, licorice, a little nuts and the finish is dry with a touch of citrus – a nice beer indeed!

draught@erzbierschof’s bar - hazy brown beer under a persistent creamy beige foam; nice lacework on the side of the glass; toasted biscuity maltiness with earthy notes; rounded and sweet palate with some tartness due to a fair but subtle carbonation; late bitterness and a moderateley long malty, nutty and earthy finish

Bottle at home - 05/09/12. Pours a clear mid brown with a decent off-white head that retained fairly well. Nose is malts, nuts, toffee and a little woodiness and a pinch of cinnamon. Tastes of brown sugar, malt, prunes, toffee and a little nutty and a crumb or two of biscuit. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, perhaps a little over carbonated. Medium sweet finish. A little thin.
