COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
There is so much fun involved in creating Dark Horizon. Once it ferments, everyone in the brewery are very enthusiastic and pay close attention. Is the yeast still active? Is everything OK? How does the flavours evolve? Dark Horizon is normally dark and velvety. Muscovado sugars provides good fruity aromas. The coffee is a chapter on its own. The green beans will first be treated alfa amylase, an enzyme brewers enjoy working with. Then we mash the green beans before drying and roasting them. This gives it the unique flavor Dark Horizon deserves. Share Dark Horizon with someone you think deserves it.

How this beer drinks like 9 or 10 percent is beyond me. Really well made with unfolding layers of flavours. Unusual that such a big beer is so good straight out of the gate, but here it is. Smooth, tight and dense.

Bottle. The beer is black. Dark brown, small head. "Thick" aroma of dark chocolate, licorice and coffee, strawberries and hints of hops and malts. Complex flavor with notes of at least all the following: coffee, licorice, red berries, chocolate, wood, leather, salt, smoke. The alcohol is noticable in the finish. Full body, low carbonation. Slightly acidic up front, then slightly sweet, then a little bitter at the end. Nice balance. Wonderful.

Bottle to tulip Plum, soy, coffee, earthworms?, coffee and alcohol. Oily looking brownish black, with a thin ringed creamy light brown head. Taste is brown sugar and heavy coffee, that fades to a sweet malt and then to full mouth bitter coffee aftertaste. I’m not sure about the aroma this one tastes great.

Das ist wirklich ein ganz schöner Hammer. Sirup, der jedoch etwas an Würze und Säure mit sich trägt, der schwerlich zu beschreiben ist. Gewürze ohne Ende, dazu etwas, was man als konzentriert nennen könnte. Wie eine schwere und dunkle Biersoße.

Beer from Meilby - thank you so much, Kenni!!! The beer pours out in a beautiful deep dark colour with low head and smooth body. Beautiful aroma of cinnamon, hops and straw. Taste of roasted barley, herbs, spices, malt, hops and citrus. Highly quaffable and enjoyable. Big beer - great taste, fantastic finish. Wonderful beer experience altogether.

Bottle. Black color, wispy tan head. Sweet aroma with alcohol, coffee and wood. Smooth, full flavor with oaky vanilla, milk chocolate . Thick mouthfeel, very full body, low carbonation. The style is reminiscent of a dessert stout. A fine end to a meal.
