There is so much fun involved in creating Dark Horizon. Once it ferments, everyone in the brewery are very enthusiastic and pay close attention. Is the yeast still active? Is everything OK? How does the flavours evolve? Dark Horizon is normally dark and velvety. Muscovado sugars provides good fruity aromas. The coffee is a chapter on its own. The green beans will first be treated alfa amylase, an enzyme brewers enjoy working with. Then we mash the green beans before drying and roasting them. This gives it the unique flavor Dark Horizon deserves. Share Dark Horizon with someone you think deserves it.

Tiny bottle. Dense, viscous black pour with a slow-to-rise brown head of tiny bubbles. Rich and dense, tons of espresso and dark prunes and cherries, woody undertones. Bitter roasty finish. Liquid velvet. Smooth and warming with terrific balance and no hint of the massive ABV. Awesome!

Good beer for such a huge abv. Pour is pitch black and oily. Aroma is tons of dark fruit, brown sugar, and mollasses. Could use some roast to tie it all together but overall this is nice and very good considering the abv.

Pours motor oil black with no head. Aroma is heavy, black strap molasses, anise, Toffee, raisins, and dark chocolate. Flavour is an exact reflection of the flavor, with the addition of some dark pitted fruit notes and subtle coffee notes. Cannot believe this is 16%. Amazing beer.

Svart med brun skum. Kakao, mørk sjokolade, espresso og mørke stenfrukter. Lakris, halslinser, kakao og kaffe. Kjenner også noe sødme. Salt i ettersmaken, lite kullsyre. Kraftige greier. Må passe godt til en fondant med friske bringebær. Men fantastisk å nippe til uten mat også.

Thick oil beer which actually hides it’s alcohol decently. Tons of raisin and sweet prime flavors with Northern European malt flavors. Great to try again one of the classic breweries

Bottled. The aroma of chocolate fills the entire room. Completely black, with a dark head. The aroma is sweet with cocoa, wood, prunes, liquorice. The taste just explodes. Just amazing. The wood, the port wine, the sweetness in the finish us just... Aaah.

How this beer drinks like 9 or 10 percent is beyond me. Really well made with unfolding layers of flavours. Unusual that such a big beer is so good straight out of the gate, but here it is. Smooth, tight and dense.

Bottle. The beer is black. Dark brown, small head. "Thick" aroma of dark chocolate, licorice and coffee, strawberries and hints of hops and malts. Complex flavor with notes of at least all the following: coffee, licorice, red berries, chocolate, wood, leather, salt, smoke. The alcohol is noticable in the finish. Full body, low carbonation. Slightly acidic up front, then slightly sweet, then a little bitter at the end. Nice balance. Wonderful.
