COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
There is so much fun involved in creating Dark Horizon. Once it ferments, everyone in the brewery are very enthusiastic and pay close attention. Is the yeast still active? Is everything OK? How does the flavours evolve? Dark Horizon is normally dark and velvety. Muscovado sugars provides good fruity aromas. The coffee is a chapter on its own. The green beans will first be treated alfa amylase, an enzyme brewers enjoy working with. Then we mash the green beans before drying and roasting them. This gives it the unique flavor Dark Horizon deserves. Share Dark Horizon with someone you think deserves it.

Bottle: Pours pitch black with a wee dark tan head, diminished fairly quickly. On the nose: coffee, dark chocolate, dark sugars (almost molasses). Tastes immediately of coffee, then dark chocolate (almost pure cacao), fades to dark fruits, and then bitter coffee on the finish.

8.5-oz bottle from binnys Lincoln Park, wrapped in purple paper, in triangular box, i guess to make it look bigger. well, good things can come in small packages. black, sweet. i think the key is the grimstad water. intense, but easy to drink.

Very fruity and sweet smell. It tastes fruity and in the begining and you can feel the strong coffee after taste. One of the best ever!

Black color, mocca head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, vanilla, booze, muscavado sugar, soy sauce, cocoa, coconut, anise. Very complex. Taste is so amazing, complex, sweet, bitter, sour, salty, savory. Just amazing. The aftertaste is out of this world. Full body, thick texture, flat to soft carbonation. One of the greatest beers I’ve had, and I think the best Imperial Stout. The smell is so complex and the taste is even more complex and its a bit different then what you expect from the smell. Every beer geek should try this.

Snapsilasista juotavaa erakoitumisolutta. Tätä pitäisi olla kotona korillinen. Heittämällä kärkeen.

A great color. Deep amber T good barley wine flavor, smooth, hops add American hops citrus without bitterness M about what you'd expect O I don't typically go for barley wine, but this was very smooth and easy to drink. I'd like another.

Bottle: Dark as the night, brown head. Aroma is dominated of coffee, dark chcolate. sirup, brown sugar, and vanilla. Flavor has almost the same, complexed mixed mouthfeeling, of coffee, dark choclate, vanilla, portvine, vanilla. Big body long dry mixed finish of coffee and dark choclate and fruits. Werry nice complexed IMPY.

Lovely presentation in a triangular box and red tissue wrapping the bottle. The physicists are looking for dark-matter in the wrong place. It’s apparently brewed in Norway. It’s as black as the ace of spades. Light cannot escape it’s surface. Enough of that :P Very thick mouthfeel. Aromas of coffee, chocolate, malt, molasses. Theres a lot going on. Flavours are a good balance of bitter and sweetness. Alcohol is well hidden. It’s a real thinker. Very complex. A thick, sticky brown precipitate lines the neck of the bottle and inside of the cap. This should not be tasted. Strong flavours of AWFUL with hints of FOUL hiding beneath DISGUSTING. Like licking instant coffee out of a urinal. I wouldn’t count this against the beer itself though, which is wonderful.

Bottle shared with northropfrye. Aroma of raisins and coffee. I get more of the raisin aroma and more of a coffee taste but together its rich and boozy but in a substantial way. I love it.
