Bottle 0,5 l. Brown black, small beige head. Nose is nicely malty, sourish, some liqourice. Maltiness is nice. Flavor is kind of mild, maltiness is there, some berries and liqourice. Very alcoholic and not much body to back it up. Bitter and no sweetness really. A bit woody maybe, but the bitterness and alcohol rule here. Didn’t really enjoy it, in fact I ended up drainpouring third of the bottle as I couldn’t finish it before it got stale in 3 days.

StoutHead (942) - DENMARK - JUN 5, 2016
Bottle. Pours pitch black and generates a brown head if poured from on high, but at almost 8 years old it dissappears very fast. Aroma of roasted malts, fruits and alcohol. Taste is of roasted malts, dark dried fruits - like prunes and raisins, chocolate, resin, licorice, wood, molasses, soy sauce and alcohol. Very complex. Has a very long finish of roasted malts, wood and alcohol. Body is above medium but is surprisingly thin for a 16% beer. Very little carbonation but that’s to be expected I guess. Very good though - a real slow sipper.

Bottle shared, thanks Jonno. Wow, this is a beast, feels like a barrel-aged spiced Porto wine, lots of dark cherry, oak and whiskey, long complex finish. Devilicious stuff, to be sipped and enjoyed at a gentleman’s pace.

Bottle shared at a tasting. Thanks Jonno. This bottle is 8 to 9 years old. Lots of booze and dark fruit in the nose: plum, raisin, prune, cassis. Lots of deep, rich flavors of wood and booze in the nose as it warms. Body has thinned out, with very little carbonation but wow, what a nice aged beer. More booze and fruit in the mouth with a long lasting and coating finish. Fantastic.

Wow! Pours dark brown and with very little head. Well, this boy is around 9 years old. Nose is really hitting you with booze and all those barrel aged dark fruits and molasses. Taste is aggressively boozy, full of flavours, dark fruits soaked in some liquor. Flavours have still been preserved after the ageing and come out clear and shining. Body has become thinner but overall totally amazing.

Countbeer (5983) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - DEC 24, 2015
Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass: Black beer with a dark brown head. Wow! Only downfall is the quick disappearance of the foamy head... Aroma is a mix of liquorice, mocha, roast, fudge, soy, pudding, bit boozy, marzipan, some coffee, dark chocolate, hint of aftershave and caramel. Flavour is a mix of bitters, roast, tiramisu, nuts, dark chocolate, light boozy, cacoa, nutty, tobacco, liquorice, light fudgy, some mocha and caramel... Aftertaste is roast, dark chocolate, tobacco, light dry, bitter, herbal roast and fudge... Low carbo, light watery lighter creamy mouthfeel, full body.
