Thanks to Belgbeergeek for sharing bottle @ RBBSG II. Pours a cloudy super dark brown with a wisp of a light brown head. Smell is roasted dark malt, sweet dark fruit and some alcohol heat. The taste is roast, super malty and sweet, figs. Thick with mild carbonation and smooth. A big sweet tasty stout.

Poured from a bottle 3 years old (third edition) into a snifter almost zero head here. Aroma is booze & brown sugar sweetness-hands are starting to shake to try this baby. Oh golly this is the sweetest stuff EVER & so good. The booze chocolate sweetness is a great balance. This 15.5% brew is an exceptional beverage. Had high expectations & it delivered. The coffee, chocolate, brown sugar, caramel, boozy figgy love is all there.

Location: 8.5 oz bottle from Oak Tree, 11/22/13

Aroma: The aroma is sweet and fruity, lots of bourbon, dark fruit, brown sugar, and a little smoke
Appearance: It pours a thick, dark brown-black color without any head or lace to speak of
Flavor: The taste is very sweet and bourbony, there’s a hint of smoke too, but mostly it is sweet
Palate: The body is medium-full, with a flat carbonation, and a fairly thick texture
Overall Impression: I thought that this was a very solid beer, but the extreme sweetness and alcohol presence certainly don’t make it that drinkable. This bottle seems like about the right size for this one.

Bottle. Big alcohol and chocolate aroma - so much alcohol it just smelled medicinal. Deep mahogany with a minimal head. Syrupy sweet chocolate, fruity coffee flavor. Medium full stick body, flat carbonation.

Bottle. Chocolate malt, raisin, and medicinal alcohol aroma. Black with minimal head. Very sweet (cloying) chocolate syrup and bitter herbal flavor. Cloyingly sweet and minimal complexity. Didn’t age too well.

This one poured a dark brown with a tiny tan head. Aroma of chocolate, toffee, caramel, smoke, and cherry. Flavor was way sweeter than the first too, sweet chocolate, roast, mild booze. Still solid for the abv.

Bottle: pours dark black with no head, aroma is boozy with some hints of chocolate, taste is chocolate, somewhat sweet with a boozy finish. I remember really enjoying DH #1 but this one doesn’t do much for me.
