Draught @ Gastropub Nordic. Probably 7% version.
Sweetish aroma has raspberries and vanilla with some hops. Flavour has malt, smoke and licorice. Really creamy and smooth palate. Not a typical DP, feels like a smoked porter. Really good anyway.

Pours clear dark ruby red colour with small head. Aroma of liquorice, smoky malts, ripe fruits, some berries and spices. Flavour of sweet caramel malts, mild berries, ripe fruits, liquorice, distant plum and creamy toffee notes. Creamy smooth palate with a sweet and viscotic feel. Highly drinkable and well balanced with such a high abv.

Boreft Beer Festival 2011: Dark chestnut coloured beer with a small off-white head. Aroma of malt and toffee with vineous fruity notes. Sweetish malty flavour with rich biscuit character, and a fruity touch. A hint of ash and smoke, and a bit of alcohol in the finish

Draught, Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Deep dark brown looks with a smallish tan head. Sweet aroma and flavour of dark fruits, booze and malts. Some chocolatey notes lurking. Alcohol fairly prominent. Not my favourite style, but I enjoyed this.

(Draught at Pikkulintu, 20111213) The beer poured deep dark brown. Its head was medium sized and almost white. Aroma had malts, molasses and hops. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, molasses, hops, mild roastedness and medium bitterness. Aftertaste was malty, hoppy and bitter. A different doppelbock but the hoppiness worked this time.

Fra fat på Beer Palace Oslo 1 Nov 11. Svart. Lavt farget skum som fester seg til glasset. Lite aroma. Velbalansert smak av syrlig frukt. Undertone av metall. Avslutter tørt & svakt bittert.

Draft. Mahogony beer with a dark cream colored head. Toffee and light roasty aroma. Toffee/caramel and light dark fruit flavor. Mediumb odied. Toffee/caramel lingers with light dark fruits, light earth, and light roast.

Tap. Pours dark brown with a medium-small, fizzy light tan head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is caramel and nutty, sweet malt, light Noble hops, and dark fruits. Flavor is sweet caramel and toast, nutty malt, no hops, faint bitterness, dark fruits and a sweet finish. Full body, medium warmth and carbonation.

Pours brown with a beige head. Aroma is breaddy malt and fruity nuts. Flavour is breaddy malt, nuts, fruit and raisin.

Sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2011. Pours a clear and brown beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is malt, sweetness, dried fruit and notes of alcohol. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is sweetness. Overall a good beer.
