Resultatet ser du her: en Dobbel IPA.

A guest brew by Toshi Ishii from Yo-Ho Brewing, 100 IBU.

Bottle: (Labeled as 8.0%) Pours cloudy , wooden brown with a huge, whipped , slow, light tan head. Scent is initially spray paint....sweetly candied. Taste is sweet, caramel, bold fruits, malt, spice. A very subtle bitter for a purported 100 IBU..... Creamy, resiny. Alcohol is noticable only after about halfway...then just a bit of fumes.. VERY nice stuff!

Deep amber color out of the bottle with a large, foamy off white head. Sweet nose with sheets of hop resin. Flavors of pineapple, candied grapefruit rinds, mandarin orange with a hard candy sweetness. It reminds me of marmalade on toast. Nice warming alcohol sense to it. A little aggressive on the tongue, but otherwise a nice IIPA. I’ve had this bottle a while, and it has a nice patina over all the flavors.

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2012 perfectly balansed beer. Low carbonated and lots of wonderfoul fruit both in smell and taste. What à beer.

500ml bottleIt is fairly dry, which allows the hops to dominate. There is bitterness up front, some balanced malts in the middle and complex fruity and resiny hop aromas which simply has no end.

My Nøgne Ø #40 :-) Strange that I have to go abroad to find the best Nøgne Ø gems. This one was waiting for me in Sweden.
Dark brown colour with a tan head. Agressive rich complex aroma. Fruity, hoppy and malty. Not as bitter as I would expect at 100 IBU. More to the ususal DIPA/IPA sweet fruity side. Lots of malt inthis one also. And grape. Oily texture. Not for the fainthearted this one.
[Bottle (Batch 402) at Bishops Arms in Malmö, Sweden]

Murky, dark brown colour and a nice, foamy tan head. Strong aroma with hops and hint of chocolate. Body is light and it feels very slick. The taste is pretty strong. There’s a notable taste of alcohol mixed with some coffee and chocolate. This beer feels a lot more like an imperial stout than an IPA. I haven’t had that many double IPAs so far but this one feels very different from the others. Interesting beer, nonetheless.

Courtesy of jrob21. Has a good sweet malt and some wooded pine aroma. Well this has to be the worse looking appearance dirty muddy water with off white head. So intriging had to give high score. Chewy citrus orange flavor with some dry resin bittering. good refreashnebt on the palate thx Johnathan
