Vi på Nøgne Ø ønsket å markere dette ved å invitere bryggermester Toshi Ishii fra Karuizawa, Nagano til å brygge sammen med oss. Resultatet ser du her: en Dobbel IPA.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours a hazy amber orange color with a small oily head with moderate lacing. Nose is hop oil and pine. Medium mouthfeel and finish. My notes suck.

Poured a lightly hazy amber color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, grass, citrus fruits, caramel, toast, and pine. Taste of grassy hops, some spicy, citrus fruits, pine, yeasty, with some grapefruit.

Bottle. Body-medium brown with a thick foamy head. Nose-floral hops, clean grass. Taste-sharp, fresh hops, perfumey. The finish is very bitter and rough.

1 pint .9oz bottle shared courtesy of egadjzis. Poured a medium and cloudy/muddy amberish color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of pine, wood, earhty, caramel, toffee, and some citrus. Tastes of pine, citrus, caramel, and earthy. Somehow this one just fell short of ’my expectations’.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a huge, tan head and a hazy orange body with great lace and good retention. Aroma of pine hops, some spice and herbal ones too (I get some Centennial). Taste is earthy and herbal hops with a nice caramel quality backing it up. Light bubbles. Good beer.
