UPDATED: OCT 1, 2008 Cask at Europen Beer Festival, Copenhagen. Lightly hazy orange/brown. Powerful perfumy orangey sweaty nose. Sweet and soft with well structured malt profile. Notes of butter and cookies, but it’s driven by shampoo-like hops with lychee and tar. Punishing megabitter finish.

Cloudy brown beer, thickish tan head. Soft to dry palate - frothy and creamy in the mouth. Some malt and a quite a bit of hop but they are reasonably well behaved. A spicy finish with some aniseed. Serviceable IPA.

Hazy dark amber color; big head. The hop aroma lasts for a short moment, quite surprisingly. It has medium body strength, with strong caramel flavor, very strong bitterness, some resins, too much roasted malt for such a beer, mostly spoiling the final. Overall, the harsh bitterness and dark caramel spoil this beer, while a bit more sweetness and fruitness would save it. To be improved.
