Hops- the best there is in this world! Well, almost. This is a hop driven beer. A beer where it is all about hops. But what kind of hops? We just couldn’t decide which, and used hops from all over the world; England, Slovenia, New Zealand, Czech Republic, USA, Germany and Australia. A total of 13 different types of hops. It does not get better than this!

50 cl bottle @ Pekko, Tampere. Batch #943. Brewed on 25.03.2013. BBE 25.03.2014.
Pours hazy copper color with a small lasting head. Aroma of grape fruits, hops, grass and goose berry bush. Flavour of grass, hops, goose berries and citric fruits. Medium to strong carbonation, bitter grassy and fruity palate. Crisp and refreshing brew. Nice.

hazy golden to amber colour with a large white head. Pine, grapefruit and grassy tones in aroma that initially is quite strong but gradually mellows out. Lots of fresh citrus fruits. Mild spiciness in the taste and the bitterness and carbonation is spot on.

Bottle at home. Pours pale golden, with a white head. Aroma of hops, floral, tropical, light malts, light perfume notes. Taste is foral, hopward, nice malt base, orange peel slighty bitter. Good drinkability. Fresh!

A very nice IPA. Tons of different hop characteristics here, but mostly the citrus and pine varieties. The bitterness is surprisingly muted.

Cloudy, yellow towards amber colour, two-finger head in the glass. This is a beer for hop-heads. Nøgne Ø brewery makes no compromises (so far), and their brewmaster is at his best in this brew, using no less than 13 (!) different hops in this pale ale. Aroma is all hops. Citrus, grapefruit and tropical fruits dominates along with hints of bubblegum. Trying to find traces of malts in the taste, but not. It’s bitter and dry, almost tart in the mouth. Not a typical APA in my opinion, but a refreshing treat to yourself anytime.

Rating 1125 09.06.2014 - Bottle from Sherbrooke. 500mL Golden pour with a bubbly, lasting white foam. Aroma is mild sweet citrus, lots of earthy and spicy aromas oozing out of this. Taste is a mini of citrusy sweetness, tempered by an explosion of noble hoppy bitterness, drying out the finish, but leaving the palate demanding another sip. Balanced and exquisite.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 18B, adapted). Bottle 50 cl - Batch 1365-D. AROMA: very nice multi-fruit blend, with notes of green mango, grapefruit, some passionfruit, lime, mandarin and another tropical fruits. also some pine and resin. APPEARANCE: ambar color and slightly hazy. average ivory head with good retention. TASTE: more restrained hop flavour with notes of pine and resin. faint mango and grapefruit. faint malty background. high bitterness with a medium-dry finish. PALATE: medium-low body with average carbonation. OVERALL: a very nice pale ale with complex and subtle aromas. not so complex on the flavour, neither from hops nor malt. Recommended nonethless.
