COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the US this is called "Winter Ale".

A dark ale brewed specially for the Christmas season, with a rich, complex taste of caramel. This is a strong, dark and rather sweet Christmas Beer – just the way we think a Christmas beer should be.

Recommended serving temperature 12°C/53°F. Great with cheese or nuts. Ingredients: Lager, Munich, caramel, black, and chocolate malt; Chinook, Columbus, and Centennial hops; English ale yeast, and our local Grimstad water.

19°P, 30 IBU, 8.5 % ABV.

Dark and stout like in flavor. Honey and smoke on the nose. Mouthfeel creamy and thick, and delicious.

1PT 9oz bottle. Poured a very deep brown with a frothy khaki colored head. Caramel, dark malts and coffee aroma. Warm Christmas style beer. Big chocolate nose with a hint of raisin. toasted malt, toffee finish. Great winter ale. Bitter chocolate long lasting taste.

500 ml bottle. Black body, tanned head. Aroma: caramel, chocolate, roasted, dark fruits. Full, oily mouthfeel. Very good bitterness. Sweetness, hops, fruits and port like qualities in flavour.

A belgian imperial stout? Lots of candi sugar and licorice topped with a long alcholic finish. Quite rich but a bit one dimensional. Another very good nogne that just doesn’t quite make the outstanding mark. Seems to be a trait from these guys.

Bottle, as Nogne O Winter Ale. From Total Wine N. Miami. Pitch black with thick and very stable head but no lacing. Spicy chocolate aroma is like chili-chocolate with cherries. Very creamy mouthfeel and big body. Oh wow, this is pretty much an imperial stout. For me it’s not very sweet, it’s got killer dark chocolate flavors and is very rich. I feel guilty having opened this one by myself as it’s really delicious. Waves and waves of sumptious quality chocolate. Like the flourless mocha cake from that restaurant my mom likes downtown. Ever so slight burnt flavor in the finish. Absolutely delicious.

Olmost black with light brown head , nice malty aroma - nice taste of some caramel malt along with some roasted malt and nice hop bitterness that lingers into a nice finish - a very well made beer
