COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the US this is called "Winter Ale".

A dark ale brewed specially for the Christmas season, with a rich, complex taste of caramel. This is a strong, dark and rather sweet Christmas Beer – just the way we think a Christmas beer should be.

Recommended serving temperature 12°C/53°F. Great with cheese or nuts. Ingredients: Lager, Munich, caramel, black, and chocolate malt; Chinook, Columbus, and Centennial hops; English ale yeast, and our local Grimstad water.

19°P, 30 IBU, 8.5 % ABV.

Bottled: Burgundy red coloured. Light brown dense head. Spices (cinnamon, cloves), fruit, alcahol, light yeast in the aroma. Loads of spices and liqourice in the flaovur. Light roasted with fruity notes and a nice sweetness. Is very smooth and balanced. A really treat to drink. Is fruity and spiced in the end with a light alcaholundertone.

Bottle... Very dark, cola-colored ale with a mid-sized, frothy, khaki head. Decent retention. Chocolate and cola aromas. Rich, chocolaty malt flavor with adequate bitterness and deeply roasted notes. Balanced almost perfectly... neither sweet nor overly hopped. Full-bodied and silky with reticent carbonation. Dark, chocolaty finish. Huge KUDOS to marsiblursi for boxing this one up and floating it across the Atlantic!

Bottle. Fantastic beer. Creamy lightbrown excellent fully lasting head. Brown colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma, but really intense. Powerfull bitter flavor and long complex finish. I could still taste this beer hours after drinking it. Oily palate. Thank you Yngwie.

Aroma of a stout. Chocolate, coffee, and arguably malt. Black color, but there are ruby hilites when the glass is placed before halogen. There is a ferocious tan head. Definite piny hop hits the nose as the glass approaches the lips. Medium bodied. Low carbonation. It’s something like an IPA with coffee and chocolate. Not a huge amount of hop, but it seems to have some bitter beyond that of the coffee. Great treat for the mouth. The finish seems both dry and sweet, depending on which part of the tongue one notices. So if there was no malt, where is the sweet coming from? As they say, it’s complex.

A Mes rate. Bottle at The Cads.
Dark brown with a very good beige head. Spicy chocolate aroma. More of the same in the flavour. Huge chocolate, delicate grassy hops in the background. Good spice, lovely grainy notes. Just really good all round.
