4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
First beer from Nogne. Ridiculously good. I was impressed by the complexity and depth. Thick mouthfeel, with many deep dark malts present. Very warming but alcohol was not a standout flavour. The hallmark of an excellent beer. Had to fight with my wife over the last sip. Hops balanced extremely well with malts. Gonna try to go back and get more of this one.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Complex aroma of red wine, leather, tobacco, fig, dark malt, slightly boozy. Flat black color with an absolute ton of light tan foam. The taste brings out everything that is in the aroma, adding just the right amount of dark roast balanced by some malt sweetness. Slight booze burn in the aftertaste which I like. Palate is creamy and smooth. Very strong offering from Nogne, a brewery that everyone should try.
