We usually do not make compromises, but this is probably the exception. Norwegians are dead scared of dark beers. This is an attempt to show that there are gentle dark ales. As such Havre Stout is smooth and drinkable.

We think Havre Stout is good both with and in food. Try pairing it with a read meet dish, or give your vanilla icecream a small dash before serving. Recommended serving temperature 8°C/45°F.

Backlog rating. Keg at FOB, Rimini. It pours a dark brown color with a medium off-white head. Aroma is roasty, with notes of toasted bread, espresso, pine cones, lactose. Taste is medium sweet with more lactose, chocolate, roasted malts. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Overall, decent sweet stout

Pitch black color with beige head with low retention. Aroma has roasted malts, coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is roasted, with coffee, choclate and molasses. Aftertaste is weak, with some bitterness and tartness. Very smooth, body is too low in my opinion. Good outmeal stout, but nothing special.

Aroma not too strong, chocolate and cofee. A bit of dried fruits in the background. Pours dark, yet not black with medium sized head, that quickly disappears. Medium carbonation - medium-full body. Taste is quite bitter with nice aftertaste. Lightly sweet. Overall a solid beer, nothing extraordinary, though.

Tap @ Beer Temple (sample size). Black color. Beige/light brown head with big bubbles. Aroma’s: roasted, mocha, ground coffee, iets gebrand zurig. Flavor is hard roasted, light sweet, light bitter. Body is on the thin side. Finishes somewhat dry, light ashy, light bitter. A bit more body would have been nice.

Has great aroma of chocolate, coffee and dark tanned malts. It’s pitch black, non-transparent, with massive beige head. In taste it’s a bit sour, from coffee, it leaves great bitter aftertaste, but it’s rather delicate and smooth. The beer itself is not smooth so much though. There is no sweetness in it at all, there is no way to guess it’s oatmeal stout. It’s typical, orthodox dry stout. Watery, flat and drinkable.

Poured deep dark brown with a small beige ring. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee and dark fruit. Light body, flavour as the aroma, light liquorice.

Draft @ beer temple. Body of sweet malt, with some notes of coffee and milky cacao. Notes of vanilla and a spicey touch. Very nice.

bottle from the beer shop at viktoriagade. very dark brown, brown head that soon dissapears. dusty aroma, hard roasted malts, licorice, dark chocolate. flavor is very nice, light, hard roasted malts, bitterness from hops, but not at all in the way , good balance, reminds me slightly of the way a very well brewed schwarzbier would taste, but has a little bit more sweet stoutish notes. super drinkable, great job.

Mooie zwarte kleur met een volle goud bruine kraag. Ruikt gebrand, koffie, vanille. Smaakt koffie, vanille en gebrand. Iets bitter, tikkeltje dun.
