COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We usually do not make compromises, but this is probably the exception. Norwegians are dead scared of dark beers. This is an attempt to show that there are gentle dark ales. As such Havre Stout is smooth and drinkable.

We think Havre Stout is good both with and in food. Try pairing it with a read meet dish, or give your vanilla icecream a small dash before serving. Recommended serving temperature 8°C/45°F.

UPDATED: MAR 3, 2014 Svart med lavt espressofarget skum. Lun søtlig aroma av mild kaffe, mild sjokolade og ristet malt. Behagelig, men ikke spesielt utfordrende smak av malt og mild kaffe. Kunne godt hatt noe mere sødme i smaken. Mildt bitter med en god ettersmak. Medium konsistens.

Almost black beer with slightly brown head and lacing. Syrup, dark chocolate, and some pine and earth aromas. Almost burned malts, syrupy sweet in the main taste then turning into grassy, earthly flavors in the end. And again, too thin body to back up the flavors. Otherwise decent stout.

Smooth, easy to drink, with some roastyness and hints of coffee. Nice mouthfeel. Suitable as your first stout.

Veldig svak aroma, og lukter merkelig bok nesten ingen ting. God smak, men hadde kledd ørlite grann mer sødme. Det hadde høynet denne for meg. Men en ganske god øl. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500ml bottle @Lúpulo Feroz, Oviedo. Pours black with little tan head, vanishing, poor head retention, poor lacing.Roasty, coffee, chickory, some "wet" aromas. Medium body, oily texture, average to high carbonation. Taste is coffee, roasty, watered down. Mild bitter. Dry and roasty aftertaste. More or less ok for its low abv, but not a sweet stout.

500 ml bottle. #924. Brewed on 15/02/13. BB 15/02/14. (K-Citymarket) Tampere, Finland.
Black colour with a light reddish hue and small tan head. Roasted malt, mild coffee, oaty sweetness and mild ashy dryness in the aroma. The flavour is roasted malt and notes of coffee, ashy dryness and oaty smoothness. Thin. Maybe this is a bit compromised as they say.

Dark brown to black color, light brown head. Massive amounts of foam after opening leaving me with the impression that the bottle has gone bad. Chocolate and coffee nose, caramel malt, burnt sugar and a hint of raisin. Light coffee taste, butter, low bitterness. Grainy mouthfeel, light body.
