COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We usually do not make compromises, but this is probably the exception. Norwegians are dead scared of dark beers. This is an attempt to show that there are gentle dark ales. As such Havre Stout is smooth and drinkable.

We think Havre Stout is good both with and in food. Try pairing it with a read meet dish, or give your vanilla icecream a small dash before serving. Recommended serving temperature 8°C/45°F.

11°P 20 IBU 4,5% ABV.

Bottle at home. Dark brown with eager head, had to rest it five minutes to complete pouring into beer stein. Smells of sweet oats and very light roasting. Tastes bitter and watery. Would prefer darker and more oily beverages. Good low alcohol drink though.

Ikke veldig fremtredende duft. Nesten sort med fint skum. Myk smak, overrasker i forhold til hvor mørkt det er.

From bottle: BBD: 27.11.14 Pours nice dark brown liquid (almost black), minimal but stable brown head. Aroma: espresso-roasted tones, dark chocolate, milk tones, sweet tones. Taste: light to medium sweet, medium bitter, light sour. Smooth gentle taste. Not very intensive but very drinkable. milk chocolate, light coffee, sweet. Palate: light body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, long bitter roasted sweet finish. Overall: Nice Sweet Stout, interesting, but quite weak, too gentle, under-carbonated. Tried to pair with prosciutto and worked quite well.

Bottle @ Setka Pub, Poznań. Pours cloudy nearly black with airy tan head. Clear, roasted aroma, with notes of hops and caramel malt. Bitter, roasty flavour, with notes of malt. Lingering, bitter aftertaste. A rather thin body for a sweet stout. Not sweet at all and rather watery.

Esi (10) - POLAND - APR 11, 2014
0,5 l bottle. Black opaque body, light brown, disapearing head. Aroma of chocolate, burnt malts, same with a taste, but lack of sweetness, beer is a little too dry. Medium bitterness, dry body. Too watery texture for the style, although causes it highly drinkable. Just average, common non-sweet stout.

Chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, nuts and a hint of berries in the aroma. Dark brown to black with a tan head. Medium sweet and light to medium bitter. Light body with a lively carbonation. Overall a OK stout fore its ABV. But it is to fizzy for my taste, especially for a stout.

djoeye (1206) - Tromsø, NORWAY - MAR 31, 2014
Light brown head, lacings, black-brown body. Scents of dark roasted malts, coffee, dark dark chocolate. Surprisingly mild taste, dark malts, cola, cocoa, grainy hops under it. Slightly flourish on palate, slightly watery, modest carbonation. Finishes with malts and some chocolate sauce, hins of chocolate tart. Easy to drink, maybe lacks some body.
