We usually do not make compromises, but this is probably the exception. Norwegians are dead scared of dark beers. This is an attempt to show that there are gentle dark ales. As such Havre Stout is smooth and drinkable.

We think Havre Stout is good both with and in food. Try pairing it with a read meet dish, or give your vanilla icecream a small dash before serving. Recommended serving temperature 8°C/45°F.

Bottle. Black beer with a strong off white head. The aroma is lightly roasted with some sweetness, and the flavour has gentle bitterness with mellow coffee bitterness. Overall a nice but fairly mellow flavoured stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle @ Setka Pub, Poznań. Pours cloudy nearly black with airy tan head. Clear, roasted aroma, with notes of hops and caramel malt. Bitter, roasty flavour, with notes of malt. Lingering, bitter aftertaste. A rather thin body for a sweet stout. Not sweet at all and rather watery.

0,5 l bottle. Black opaque body, light brown, disapearing head. Aroma of chocolate, burnt malts, same with a taste, but lack of sweetness, beer is a little too dry. Medium bitterness, dry body. Too watery texture for the style, although causes it highly drinkable. Just average, common non-sweet stout.

Chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, nuts and a hint of berries in the aroma. Dark brown to black with a tan head. Medium sweet and light to medium bitter. Light body with a lively carbonation. Overall a OK stout fore its ABV. But it is to fizzy for my taste, especially for a stout.

Light brown head, lacings, black-brown body. Scents of dark roasted malts, coffee, dark dark chocolate. Surprisingly mild taste, dark malts, cola, cocoa, grainy hops under it. Slightly flourish on palate, slightly watery, modest carbonation. Finishes with malts and some chocolate sauce, hins of chocolate tart. Easy to drink, maybe lacks some body. Aromat niezbyt wyraźny, lekka paloność. W smaku palonośc zdecydowanie bardziej wyczuwalna. Ale w smaku lekko wodnisty, chociaż nie był zbyt zimny. Nie zachwyca.

Savuolut. Vähän turhan tunkkainen. Semmoinen läpitukematon. Vähän happea väliin niin avot.

Bottle; paired with food as the label suggests ;) Aroma begins with very intensive aroma of coffee, but after a while the beer feels quite gentle, showing some dark chocolate, a little bit of hops. Lightly sour, slight bitterness. Black colour with brown head. Surprisingly thin texture. The beer is ok, but it could be more intensive.
