3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thanks to Skyview’s generosity at DLD. Dark brown pour with a beige head. Dark fruit aroma, with tons of spices. I found it hard identifying all of them-coriander, orange pell, so many others. Taste was like the aroma, only magnified. The carbonation pushed the flavor throughout my mouth.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at Pizzeria Paradiso, recommendation of RJ - thank you sir! Dark ruby brown color, small tan head. Aroma of cardamon and caramel, lots of mixed aromas. Taste is a bit odd - part bitter, part sour, part sweet and malty. Not balanced, but interesting nonetheless. Worth a try.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Dark brown with a small off-white head. Perfumed coriander aroma with a bit of caramel. Dry and rich caramel malty flavour with a touch of licorice., But the coriander is overwhelming and that ruins it a bit.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from the Hope Valley Bottle Shop, Durham. Bright reddish brown pour, with a very clean carbonation and a moderate head, decent retention. The nose is a bit riotous, with too much going on for me: banana bread, ripe yeasty notes, tons of vibrant fruit. That kind of sweet bomb isn’t always the ticket, and when there are clashing sweet aromas it is a tad forbidding. Mouthfeel is moderately lively. The tastes came together a bit better to me, with the sweet clove and banana bits as the bonding agent between dunkel and wit. Idiosyncratic, not always satisfying, but every so often a sip where it kicks ass.
