3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle (i had this one on tap sometimes before) @ Bir&Fud Bottega Roma Bronze color. Strong citric, cat piss (i have to say it) aroma. It smells of malt too. The taste is both sweet and bitter (not that much) at the same time. Here again citrus, malt, caramel (a little bit), booziness. The finish is not long, Not so easy to drink but very enjoyable.
Definitely an actual DIPA, very well made. Its a hard one but is not a barley wine at least. anyway The #100 is better

Taste citrus, orange rind, pine, caramel, resiny hops, pale malt, slightly sweet. MF medium chewy body with good carb. Overall tasty unique flavor and overall a interesting take on the style, good stuff.

Clear ruby brown beer, off-white head. Aroma of malts, caramel, spices, grape, white wine, citrus, surprisingly subtle hops for an IIPA. Quite bitter taste, hops, caramel, malts. Fruity. Very enjoyable.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle:   Deep caramel like amber, thin to moderate off-white head, a bit sudsy, spotty lacing.   Looks just like an aged Barley Wine.   Wow, smells like an aged Barley Wine!   Musty malt nose, a little stale brown sugar, minor citrus zest, even softer hops.   Also shows a bit of alcohol.   Thats one citrusy and zesty IIPA!   Fairly big caramel malt like body, not too hoppy, with a dull and somewhat musty/basement like candied citrus peel on the tongue.   Without seeing this listed as an IIPA, I would have thought Barley Wine.   As it warms more of the alcohol comes out.   Not hot, but noticeable.   Could use a bit more heftiness on the body.   Strong citrus zest finish.   Not a terribly hoppy beer, which I would expect for an IIPA.   However, the malt profile and amount of maltiness says this one is more of a Barley Wine.   Enjoyable for me at least.
