Great beer. The aroma is good. Maybe a little berry scent. The taste is heavenly, strong but not dry. Really easy to drink beer. Decent long aftertaste of hop flavor. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

(500ml bottle) Purchased at The Strath for $9.90. Pours a large, quick dissipating beige head atop a deep brown body. Nose of figs and orange zest. Flavor of rich toasted malt and prunes. Less of a double IPA and into the initial steps of a barley wine. Very good.

500ml bottle shared at home, a couple of times. Love this beer! Probably one of the best IIPAs out there. Rich and fulfilling, and very well put together. Pours dark gold with good white head. Lots of orange, marmalade on toast even, brown sugar, apricots (tinned). Good bitter finish, balancing the richness of the toffee-ish malt flavours. Damn fine.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: AUG 12, 2013 Pours intense hazy amber with orange and far away copper-reddish tones, huge beige top with medium lasing.
Aroma - intense, starts with dominant citric and herbal hops, to me it’s mix 2/5 citric, 3/5 herbal, malt tones at later stages become very candy-caramel, a bit toffee.
Taste - malt sweet, light sour, for 100IBU it is mild bitter. First saps was very spicy, with light astringent. Light hoppy dry finish, medium bodied, slick-thick texture, average carbonation, light bitter and light sour aftertaste.
Overall - first IIPA that seems to me interesting herbal hopped or not dominant citrus at least. Only two critics - body could be more complete, more thick and those sour touches start to annoy me at late stages cause brew is well indeed.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Not as good as I was hoping and definitely more like an American barley wine. Sweet malty aroma with some hops essence but not to the level I expected. Brown murky color with no head. However, the carbonation was good and it had a medium weight. The flavors were hoppy but not citrus or pine. A malty sweetness that border-lined on sour. Alcohol was well masked. Decent but there are many better.

500 ml bottle. Pours a very cloudy brown with almost no head. Aromas of malt, caramel, earth, and resin. Very barley wine-ish. Flavors of brown sugar, resin-y hops and alcohol. Not very impressive

Bottle. Amber-copper colour with white lace. Mlaty, caramel aroma, not so hoppy. Malt and caramel taste. Little bitter, medium body. The waiter warned us that batch was not very good, he was right.
