3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
0,5l fles bij café Zeezicht, Breda
Alcoholpercentage van 10%
Uitgeschonken in blanco bokaal
Uiterlijk; oranje troebel, weinig schuimkraag
Aroma en smaak: bloemig, erg bitter (100 EBU staat op de fles), fruitig als perzik, ook hierdoor zoete tonen
Conclusie: goede IPA, verschillende smaken komen allemaal door, balans is er

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A surprisingly dark beer. Brown really, with sediment in the glass. This might be an older bottle, but I am trying not to blame the beer for that. Lots of malt, brown sugar flavors. Dusty, dry hops, some basement mustiness. Full flavored, but I am sure the hops have lost their brightness with too much time in this bottle.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, 500mL. Home. A clear chestnut brown beer with few bubbles. Big beige head with a poor retention. Roasty and smoky aroma, spices, heather, tropical fruits, citrus, resin, herbs. Medium to heavy sweet, medium dry bitter. Medium voluptuous body, medium texture, good carbonation, sweet warming and light herbal finish. Overall, great aroma, delicious, good taste depth and balance.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nogne #500 pours a opaque cider colored brew with a fine head of white bubbles. Nose is sharp, acrid and a touch musty. Taste is bitter, minerally and similar to a good belgian all at the same time with the more wine like qualities of the belgian style coming out at the end. not at all like an DIPA, that i would expect. Some bitters. a very interesting beer.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rating #1092- May 20, 2014 - Bottle from Coop. Clear golden-yellow pour with a bubbly white foam, spotty lacing. Citrusy sweet, mild floral, grassy hops on the nose.. Mouthfeel crisp, mild alcohol warmth, low-medium carbonation. Taste is sweet orangey lemony notes with the spicy tang and huge dry hop bite lingers into the finish - Lots of malty, doughy, sugary spice too, walking the line of a hopped barleywine. Superb.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This beer is something between IPA and barley wine, and is closer to the latter. Absolutely breathtaking!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Medium to thin head over deep dark golden beer. Good aroma intensity of citric and piney hops, a faint fruity funk adds interest. Full-bodied, well-carbonated and rounded bitter attack, good maltiness on the midpalate with some fruity and caramel sweetness lingering before the finish bitterness takes over, slightly homogenous exit. Hight quality, for sure, but not this either the one to convert me into an IPA zealot.
