chocolate aroma with slightly funky notes. Dry-sweet funky
earthy roasty taste with peppery smoky notes. Fullish body.
Fizzy mouthfeel, with considerable heat. Dryish earthy
chocolatey aftertaste with roasty funky peppery notes.
Interesting, but not really that nice. Much too fizzy. (0.25l

Bottle at home. Has a black colour and a big light brown head. Sweet aroma of bourbon, chocolate, roasted malt, dades, caramel and barbeque sauce. More roasted malt in a powerful taste along with coffee, bourbon, wood, leather and ash. Rich and slick mouth feel, and a medium to heavy bitterness. A powerful roasted ale with a lot of bitterness.

25cl bottle from Vinmonopolet, Storo. Pours black with a bubbely brown head. Very pleasant aroma of roasted malt, wood, dark fruits and berries, dark chocolate and hints of licorice, coffee and dried fruits. Alcohol is notiable, but well integrated. Smooth, vinous and complex. Quite sweet, but with a balanced bitterness. Lovely beer!

250ml bottle, no. 03463, bought at Vinmonopolet, Sjøgata, Bodø. Thanks to Kjell. Jet black body. Bubbly, brownish head leaving great lacework behind. Inviting aroma of earthy malts and dark fruits on a roasted backbone. Vanilla oak in flavour added by black coffee and dark chocolate. Roasted bitter ending, long-lived with tingling alcohol. Well bodied. Tasty and lovely (sister’s house, Bodø 27.04.2013)

Black with a tan head. Slightly tart aroma with smoke, oak, dark chocolate, licorice and roasted malt. Similar things in the taste. The aftertaste was long. Tasty.

Appearance: A complete absence of light on the other side of this one. A nice big beige head that stays for a long time.
Aroma: Coffee, chocolate and oak.
Palate: Medium + body. Moderate sweet with a fine bitterness. Soft carbonation.
Taste: Lots of coffee and chocolate. Some grassy and acidic notes. Also some alcohol coming up.
Overall impression: Soild product, but miss some depth and fruitiness.
