larsga (5962) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 28, 2010
Thin brown head. Opaque black body. Funky waxy roasty aroma with vinegary notes. Dry-acidic and faintly sweet taste with roasty funky chocolate notes. Mid-bodied. Rough, sandpapery mouthfeel. Dry metallic burnt pine needle aftertaste. Very interesting, but not nearly as good as it is interesting. (0.5l bottle.)

Hand tapped on plastic bottle 2 weeks prior to tasting. Pours pitch black with a brown head. Roasted aroma. Heavy body. Bit sweetish. Burnt notes as well. Flavour is roasted and tart/sour. Feels stale. Tart, roasted finish. Notes of burnt wood; then notes of burnt plastic lingering Bad. An okay beer with some nice elements as such, but overall it just doesn’t cut it. 25.09.10.

Deep ruby, low carbonation. Sour cherry aroma. Soft, round, yet an edge of vinegar. Otherwise a quite harmonic stout. A hint of smoke. Dry, but not intensively sour.

Black with a lasting tan head. Aroma of chocolate, licorice and a touch of smoke. Sweet dark flavour with licorice and red berries. Slightly tart edge, leading into a long roasted aftertaste. This is definitely a beer worth making again at some point. Well done!

Entered to celebrate my Rating # 5700. Tap @ Mikkeller Bar. Pours black with a creamy beige head and lacings. Nose is hard roast, liquorice and coffee. Very vague tartness in aroma. Flavor is roasted with some tart bretty notes. Quite drinkable and very dry! Niceness.
