Aroma is chocolate, dark fruits, coffee, roasted malts and some earthiness. Oily mouthfeel, full bodied, roasty, nutty and slightly dry, bitter finish. Taste is burnt toast, soy sauce, coffee, chocolate. Pairs very well with a slightly nutty chocolate.

This 2010 dark imperial stout is unbelievable!! With just the right amount of sweetness but a smooth dark finish.

Mmm ... that’s a deep warm glow. Strong stuff and delicious sweet flavours (chocolate, vanilla, coffee) well rounded with the roasted malts and light hops. Really great stout.

Et godt øl med en aldeles nydelig aroma, En dyp fylde med smak av sjokolade og kaffe. En aldeles nydelig øl som dessert øl eller om man bare vil kose seg med ei flaske en kveld.

Bottle at home. Three year old. Pours a black colour with a light brown creamy medium head. Has a wonderful roasted and sweet aroma with licorice, dark berries, coffee, caramel and chocolate truffles. Fantastic roasted and balanced flavour with more coffee and roasted malt lingering in the end. The mouth feel is smooth and rich, and the bitterness is light to medium. An incredibly well balanced, complex and compact imperial stout. Just wow.

Bottle - 500ml. Opaque black body with a lasting brown foamy/creamy head. Robust, complex malty/hoppy aroma with roasted coffee, chocolate, and grainy hints. Alcohol is very well hidden. Its rich, perfectly balanced taste carries vineous, roasted coffee, vanilla, and brown sugar notes. Ends with a long, warming bitter/roasty finish. Awesome!

Black color with two fingers brown head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, cappuccino, cream, cinnamon, vanilla, coconut, cocoa. Taste is light sweet a bit sour (in a good way), medium bitter with roasted malt flavor. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Really, really nice Imperial Stout

Aroma has roasted malts, coffee and dark chocolate. Mouthfeel is silky soft and chocolaty sweet, with a long and dry finish. Alcohol warms but doesn’t taste.

Poured into a 22oz. snifter.
A - Pours as black as a wizards soul. 1.5 fingers of chunky espresso head slowly fade into a thin collar. Mild lacing.
S - Smoked malt, dark chocolate, vanilla, raspberry fruit is buried under the rich malt. Tangy yeast and leather. The chocolate gets sweeter and more intense as it warms.
T - Decadent chocolate and roasted malts blast the palate. It’s like liquid brownie batter. Ground espresso, tangy English yeast, leather, caramelized brown sugar, bitter and dry on the finish.
M - Full bodied, rich, smooth, viscous feel. Low carbonation.
A very rich chocolatey RIS. The tangy yeast plays a major role along with the chocolate. It’s sweet and robust with a dry roasty finish.
