RB#1100: 50 cL bottle (batch 286). Pours black with a creamy chocolate brown head, very inviting look. Rather hops citrus and vaguely peach fruity aroma. Creamy mouthfeel. Clear chocolate flavoured with a decent hops fruity- and bitterness. A slight touch of coffee towards the finish. Bitter and roasted malt finish with a whiff of smoke. Very nice.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A black beer with a nice brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with both herbal and flowery notes, but also a lingering acidity in the background. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of violet candy sugar used for cakes in the beginning, but then turning towards roasted malt and chocolate in the end. Nice.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
(Bottle 50 cl) Completely black and opaque with a creamy, light brown head leaving some laces. Fat, malty aroma. Full-bodied with shiploads of roasted malt - hard roasted but not really burned. Ends - surprisingly - on a rather mellow note. A very smooth Imperial Stout. 170406

Black color, big head. The aroma is very interesting, strong cheese and smoke, but also dust and black bean sauce, chinese kitchen. It has medium body strength, thinner than expected; the carbonation is high, and the alcohol clearly perceivable, sign that the beer worked along these years; there is a good chocolate and dark malt flavor, with some dry liquorice and roasted nuts, dark caramel; there is little sugar left here. Correct bitterness, from the roasted malt, but it’s evident that there are little hop qualities; the final is therefore less interesting. Overall, a quite complex beer, different, interesting even if not spectacular.
Black color; generous brownish head. Very nice aroma: malt, roasted malt, vanilla, light cardboard. Powerful taste and mouthfeel, in which the liquorice dominates over the roasted malt; less thick and oily than some American one. Very long final (liquorice, roasted malt, caramel; lightly astringent). Hidden, there is some aromatic hop. Excellent. Thanks Henrik and Jørgen.
