A rich, malty, and very bitter ale. Cascade hops provide a long, fruity, and spicy after-taste. Recommended serving temperature 10°C/50°F. Ideal with barbequed or smoked meat dishes.

Ingredients: Maris Otter, Munich, wheat and caramel malt; Chinook and Cascade hops; English ale yeast, and our local Grimstad water.

17.5° P, 60 IBU, 7.5 ABV.

The backbone of Nøgne Ø. This surprising blend of old Europe, lovely England and cheeky America (Munich is here in the malt, there’s English ale yeast as well as Chinook and Cascade hops) with a bit of Norwegian water added, is probably my favorite middle strenght Norwegian IPA (although Ægirs "regular" and Kinn’s are strong contenders). The sweet and bitters along with gruit and lovely citrus almost cleans away your thirst. A dangerous beer, it is so drinkable and hides the strength so well, you’ll be out on the street if you’re not careful!

color cobrizo opaco con espuma blanca densa. Aromas de frutas tropicales, pino . En boca tiene una densidad media con una textura maltosa muy agradable. un amargor ligero y frutal, crece en intensidad hacia el final con toques resinosos. Muy rica.

Pale orange color, haze, decent frothy head. Very fruity aromas, orange, grapefruit and lime but also grass and wheat. Grassy hops with hints of honey, supported by burned malt. Prickly bitterness developes from the back of the palate, lemon and citrus. At first, the hops evoke a fruity impression, which turns more and more bitter, the longer it stays on the palate. Long lasting, aggressive bitter aftertaste. Its still very refreshing, grassy with a tropical sweetness. Nice complexity, well balanced IPA with a huge, bitter ending. Mouthfeel is smooth at the beginning, gets dry as the hop aftertaste begins to develop.

Pour a cloudy copper, despite my best efforts there is lots of sediment in my glass. Aroma is pleasant, florals, pine and grass. Tasting i can feel the alcohol, pine. but there is an unpleasant bitterness from the sediment.

Backlog. On tap at Green Lion Inn. One of the better i’ve tried, the malt-to-hop ratio is very good.

Kobber rød, uklar med fluffy hvitt skum. Flott lukt av humle og sitrus/grape. Mye kullsyre litt besk i smaken (på en god måte). God bitter ettersmak.
