4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20UPDATED: OCT 18, 2006 (Bottled, Batch 247, brewed July 15th, 2006) Muddy dark orangeish amber color with a smallish, tight and tanned head. Strong but smooth, very aromatic-hoppy, flowery aroma with sweet toffee notes. Reminds me of Young’s Special London Ale and Belgian ales, with a smooth American IPA feel. A beautiful, malty, complex and very aromatic-hoppy, grape-fruity flavor with fermented strawberries turns into bitter, ashy and dry towards the finish, but gives room for sourish fruit in the end. Full-bodied, smooth-malty, but very bitter palate with somewhat foamy carbonation. An excellent IPA with full body and strong, yet quite balanced hopping. Soo much more enjoyable sipped peacefully at home, than at the crowded SBWF from a shared bottle after so many other IPAs.
(Bottled@Stockholm Beer Festival 2005, was 7-3-6-3-14=3.3) Reddish amber with a very small head. Aromatic-hoppy, vegetably, slightly wineous and earthy aroma with floweriness. Initialy quite aromatic-hoppy flavor, with a long, dry and bitter-hoppy finish. Medium-bodied, bitter and aromatic palate with low carbonation. Hoppy, but not quite refined.

Pours hazy dark orange with thick white head. Aroma contains some citrus, exotic fruits and caramel. Flavor is pretty hoppy with citrus and flowers. A slightly bitter finish. All in all a very good IPA.

500ml bottle provided by Rune for our Summertime Beer Session 5.Jul.2011. The aroma of fresh orange, pineapple and sweeter fruit drifts towards me when the bottle is opened. Pours an amber body with a large frothy head, that leaves beautiful lacing on the glass. I inhale the pleasant aroma a few times, then I take the first sip: What a slap in the face! I sense some orange, spices and yeast, then the taste of astringent and sour/acidic vinegar overpowers everything. For several reasons I wanted to shed some tears- something must have gone terrible wrong with Batch 620!

Pour is hazy tangerine, thin white head. Nose is caramel, grass, resin and pine. Lovely smooth malty body, soft carbonation. Flavours are lush fruity, grapefruit and caramel with a nice rising bitterness towards the finish. Excellent.

Smak och doft av tropisk frukt, humle, tallbarr, kåda, citrus. Jämn och fin, lagom söt med en sträv tallbarrsbeska. Riktigt gott.

Flaske kjøpt på vinmonopolet skjærhalden. Mørk kobberfarget,stor fyldig skumtopp. Smaker malt,humle ,sitrus,furunål,gress,grapefrukt,karamell. En skikkelig fyldig smakfull ipa.veldig god

Alla spina. Limpido color arancio chiaro con un sottile velo di soffice schiuma bianca persistente. Aroma pungente con note dolciastre e amarognole, sentori di luppolo, arancia, pompelmo e resine; gusto amaro, luppolato, agrumato e biscottato. Corpo medio, effervescenza piacevole, rinfrescante e con un finale amaro lungo e persistente.

1L growler. Orange amber, med-lge frothy head. Smells... Fruit hops, doughy yeast, malts. Tastes..fruity hop start, quickly dominated by delicious healthy dose of malt, some yeasty notes and big long and bitter in the finish. Goood.

Orange golden pour with a foamy head, lively carbonation and some yeast sediment. Citrus & piney hops in the aroma, with a bitter finish. Neat and well balanced IPA

Flaska från Brill, Norge-provningen, Numera även Simcoe-humle. Nästan fem månader gammal flaska. Ändå känns humlen pigg. tropisk frukt, främst passionsfrukt, kramell, tallskott och grape. Smaken är precis som jag vill ha en IPA. Fruktig, relativt torr och bra bett i beskan. I princip felfri, riktigt god.

Good round aroma of hops and citrus. Orange. White head. Good round hoppy taste. Good palate.
