4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle conditioned bottle from Capone’s. Deep blackish pour with 1-finger tan head. The aroma is rich roasty dark malt, chocoff, molasses. Tastes roasty, with rich chocolate malt, dark chocolate notes, and some mild finishing hops. Medium palate, that got a tad watery at the end.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500 ml bottle, via sunevdj. Pours a dark brown colored body with some chestnut on the edges. The head was small, fizzy, light brown, and faded to a thin ring quickly. The aroma is very chocolaty with some coffee, yeast, and a light hoppiness. Lighter notes of alcohol and licorice. The flavor is more roasty than chocolaty with a moderate amount of dry chalky bitterness. Some coffee and licorice on the slightly sweet finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a soft fizzy carbonation level. Very soft and an almost creamy texture. Overall, this was a pretty good Porter. Much better than the other Nøgne Ø X-mas Porter I had. I was really shocked to see the rating on this one, not sure what I saw in this one that others didn’t, but I really enjoyed it.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. hazy brown with a smal beige head. Steong aroma of craramel, soated malys and milky chocolate with notes of grassy hops. Light-bpdied with flavours of cocoa and toffee with a subtle hoppy finish of grass. Nice one, at least for a session drink before and after chritsmas.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. deep dark brown color. Chocolate and licorice in the malty aroma and flavor. Sweet and just a tad thin. Caramel. moderately hopped, but there are some earthy and fruity notes. Good balance and a taste bomb for its modest ABV. Earthy bitter aftertaste. Good!

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark brown with a rich tan head. Intense chocolate aroma. Dark burnt malts. The bitterness from the american hops used in this beer dominate. The hops suppress the malt which is unfortunate. Thin body.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
very smokey aroma, almost like a rauchbier! Black with a very small head. Weak palate is it´s downfall. Could be very good with smoked meal dishes, but a bit too watery to hit the mark. Very good noneoftheless. I love Nogne O !

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
This is a dark and malty beer - and the hops gives a nice counterweight that balances the overall impression. Both malt and hops join forces all the way through. A nice beer, but it’s very flat.
