Fruktøl skal være surt. Ordentlig surt.

500ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Clear red color. Small size, pink head, stays. Buttery, cherry, sour in aroma. Sour cherries and cinnamon in taste. Sour cherries and cinnamon and salt in aftertaste. Nice and crisp.

500ml bottle (Alko Arkadia, Helsinki)
Nice dark maraschino cherry and cinnamon aroma. Light palate, sharp, salty. Taste cinamon, cherry, salt. On a cloudy pour it’s more understandable - the different aspects move towards each other and form a more coherent whole, and the body is fuller and richer.

Fresh a bit cherry aroma. Bitterish. Just red. Nice. Not too cherry. Surprisingly bitter. Medium body. Coriander. Dusty aftertaste. Awesome, and different kriek.

50cl bottle bb09/2016 courtesy of Palme, takk skal du ha! - Bref: a hefty literal translation of what juiced sour cherries can mean for a alcoholic drink, not necessarily a cherry beer. Pours, smell and generally sips like straight-up sour cherry juice: no real balsamics, funk or old hop presence betraying a hommage to lambik apart from the tannics cherry stones, sour peels, tart cherry flesh. Overall a tad harsh - missing the balance and composure of a true kriekenlambiek here. - Still glad to have tried this after the keg ran out earlier at BKL 2016.

Bottle. Pours pink red, small pink head. Aroma of sour cherries, almond and barnyard. In taste medium sour, lots of funky notes next to cherries. Finish is dry and medium sour. Very fresh and drinkable, good.

phaleslu (8969) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 2, 2016
Draft at Ei8ht Ball, served in a flight. Pours a deep, mostly clear ruby with a pink ring and island for a head. The aroma is sweeter, and the flavor is more balanced and shows more depth. Cherries, blueberries, raspberries, wildflowers, yogurt, and faint spice. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a tart, floral, fruity, and dry mouthfeel. Very nice.
