COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imagine that the German have come up with a high alpha fruity hop! "Could that be right?" we asked ourselves. We were in luck to get 100 kgs. The new wonder hop bears the name Mandarina, and it’s presently not commercially available. And how could we present this hop with all it’s glory? By brewing an IPA of course. Please welcome Mandarina IPA.

0,5L bottle, BB 07.06.2015. Pours hazy amber with big white head. The head stays for a long time. Nice lacing. Aroma is intense hops, fruits, citrus, pine, grass, sweetness in the background. The taste is of course fruity, but also floral, sweet, caramel, citrus, some nice bitterness. It really reminds the mandarins a little bit! Finish has also bitterness and hints of sweetness. It’s also a little creamy. Overall: I really like this one. I was afraid that it’ll be just "sweet grapefruit", but it’s not. Very good IPA.

Bottled 500ml @Konttori batch #991
Hazy deep orange color, goos steady beige head. Strong "hop oily" aroma, similar gooseberry bush than in Sorachi Ace, or maybe it’s mandarin! Medium-bodied. Quite malty beer with fruity, a bit candyish base with pine needles and citrus.

Had on tap at Max's in Baltimore. Wow. This is really nice. Pours a clear amber. Thin white head. Lots of citrus and orange on the nose. Flavor is fruity. Reminds me of orange faints. Finishes a bit sweet. Medium to light bodied.

Toner av passion o grape i doften. Karamell kola söt maltig med en liten konstig beska. En hyfsad Ipa med något för tunn doft och smak.

Flaske, 50 cl. Gylden, uklar, fint hvidt skum. Frugtig, humlet næse. Grapefrugt-agtige noter, men lidt uklar humleprofil. Fyldig malt med noget brød. Cremet textur. Smagen flyder lidt ud i en medium bitter finish. Ikke helt crisp. Ok, men lidt for meget humlesuppe.

Keg at the Tap East Second Anniversary Party - Stratford, London. Cheers, Kenny! Pours cloudy, rich gold with a creamy, white head. Sweet and bready, with notes of caramel and ripe orange. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish with ripe orange and other citrus fruits, more bread and mild caramel. It’s a tasty beverage but it lacks grace.

Tap East Birthday Bash. Keg. Very hazy amber beer with a small white head. Palate is smooth with good fine minerally carbonation. Light malt cream and a little lactose. Hops are indeed quite mandarin along with a little tangerine and a touch of orange. Whisper of lemon. Smooth and lightly crisp finish. If this had had more hop intensity it would have been stellar, but it is a tasty IPA.
