COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imagine that the German have come up with a high alpha fruity hop! "Could that be right?" we asked ourselves. We were in luck to get 100 kgs. The new wonder hop bears the name Mandarina, and it’s presently not commercially available. And how could we present this hop with all it’s glory? By brewing an IPA of course. Please welcome Mandarina IPA.

Unclear, orange to brown. Not a very pretty beer. Lots of white head. Medium body and slightly below medium carbonation. Citrus, grapefruit, some lemon, some malt, hop, some alcohol flavour. A bit warming alcohol. Good IPA.

Bottled. Pours clear amber with an average, off-white head. Aroma of orange, lemon zest and piney notes. Sweet flavor that ends up dry and nice bitter. Medium bodied, oily textute and soft carb. Quite interesting and very enjoyable.

Mandarina IPA on samea ja oranssinen olut valkoisella vaahdolla. Sen tuoksu on havuinen ja hedelmäinen. Maku on katkera ja havuinen. Tukevaa tavaraa.

500ml Bottle - Amber with a foamy head. Caramel, orange peel and hints of pine in the aroma. Toffee, grapefruit, peach and marmalade can be detected in the hoppy taste. A good beer and I look forward to tasting more beers with this hop in and see how they compare to this one.

Tranquillity (1410) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - APR 26, 2014
Bottled. Nice honey looks and a big white head. The aroma is of herbs, some yeast, but not flowery and I was expecting it to be stronger. The taste is good, but although the exploding sensations are right at the tip (of the tongue?) they never quite deliver. Great as usual overall though.

Countbeer (4425) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - APR 19, 2014
Bottle @ DVMBBT: Small creamy foamy head on top of a hazy orange colored beer. Aromas of older hops, dusty tangarine, some pine, yeast, some malts and herbal toast. Flavours of liquorice, bitters, pine, some grapefruit, toasted bread, caramel, herbs and malts. Aftertaste is a mix of bitters, herbs, toast, malts and yeast. Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied and a creamy texture. Bit old...? It does taste like it is...
