On tap at Borefts 2011. Poured a murky brown with a tan head. Aroma of fruit, nut and malt. Medium bodied, flavour is wooden, nutty with some chocolate malt. Sweet woody aftertaste.

Tap at brewdog. Brown with an off white head. Aroma of spice, largely cinnamon and oak, damp wood. Taste is similar, oak with cinnamon and some caramel and toffee. Little sweet with a clean finish. Not bad.

On tap at Brewdog Camden. it pours a hazy dark ruby/brown colour with a small tanned head. Aroma is sweet with figs, plums, raisins, roasted matls and just a touch of hops and vinegar. Taste is similarly on the sweet side, with a slightly sour finish. Nice vinegary quality in the finish, but not upfront for sure. Dark fruits, malt and caramel. Body is oily with medium carbonaiton. Overall, interesting, but I think a bit more sour profile would make this an outstanding beer. The base is there.

Draft at Klooster. Hazy brown with off white head. Lovely woody aroma along with caramel and Vanilla. Same in flavor with malt and a little fruit. Better than the original.

Borefts Beer Festival 3. Cloudy brown beer, tiny tan head. Light crisp palate. Nice even malt with a well judged amount of oak. Semi dry finish. Nice.

Boreft Beer Festival 2011: Cloudy brown with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of caramel, vanilla and coconut. Dry and fruity flavour with red wine, vanilla and coconut.

On tap @ In De Wildeman. Dark brown, murky color. Firm beige head. Aroma’s of fresh wood (oak), bourbon, vanilla, some malty sweetness. Still lots of wood in the flavor, only mildly sweet & bitter. Body is thin to medium. Low carbonation. Finishes bitter with still a lot of wood.

Pours dark copper with a beige head. Aroma is caramel, perfume and flower. Flavour is caramel, perfume, vanilla and flower.

Sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2011. Pours an unclear and brown beer with an offhwhite head. The aroma is malt and caramel. The flavor follows the nose with additional wood. The palate is sweetness. Overall an average beer.
