A refreshing light and hoppy ale. Probably our best allrounder. Recommended serving temperature 8°C/45°F. Ideal with barbequed or smoked meat dishes.

Ingredients: Maris Otter, wheat and caramel malt; Northern Brewer and Centenneal hops; English ale yeast, and our local Grimstad water.

Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass: Medium sized white foamy head on top of a hazy lighter yellow colored beer. Aromas of citrus, herbs, grains, light stingy, some puke, some hops, a light floral touch and some slight malt tones with some hair and perfume. Strange aroma! Flavours of bitters, herbs, some floral hops, yeast, malts, plant bitters, grass, yeast, hay, cardboard, grapefruit, citrus, some dull pine apple, some dust, strange stingy grassy herbs, some earth, perfume, cardboard and hair. Aftertaste is a mix of herbs, hops, citrus, grapefruit, cardboard, malts, bitters and some hair. Low carbo, creamy light spicy mouthfeel, medium bodied and a creamy texture. Strange beer, not bad, but expected something better than this...

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2014 Excellente bière norvégienne; belle couleur orangée; arômes fruités (grapefruit) et goût houblonné; superbe finale amère; petit bémol : la mousse est un peu trop dense

Orange amber color, big white head. Citrus nose, honey and resin. Hoppy taste, grapefruit, sweet malty, hints of nuts and marzipan. Moderately bitter finish. Medium body, soft carbonation.

Refreshing and hoppy pale ale. Bit dry as well, with some malty notes. Nice beer, but indeed quite allround compared to their other beers.

Birra davvero rinfrescante, certo è che andrebbe bevute perlomeno in primavera, così da berne un ballino, bona e dissetante. Schiuma compatta e persistente, con un amaro non troppo marcato e delicato.

50cl bottle at home, Pours cloudy amber with white pillow head. Pure cloud which gives it a nice appearance. Citrus, biscuit, pine aroma. Biscuit, grass, caramel malts. Nice sweetness, not too overstated. Rounded of nicely with medium grapefruit bitterness. Lovely balance to this beer. Light bodied but flavour lasts to the end. Great beer.

500ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Yellow amber, good head. Flowery hop aroma. Leafy biscuit resin hop flavour. Very sharp, leafy aftertaste. Disappointed with this one. Been in the garage for some time (bottled 2011, best before 7/2014). I wonder if it is past its best?
