Svart som natten, men toppen legger seg litt raskt. Dufter mørkt og mystisk av mild kaffe og mørk sjokolade. Smaken fyldig, men samtidig frisk. Ettersmaken er lang etterlater dilemmaet om en skal fortsette å nyte den eller ta seg en munnfull til.

Pours a very dark brown, with just a hint of red around the edges when held up to a light, and some light brown foam, very fine and dense. Strong aroma of vanilla, chocolate, and roasted malts. Taste is dark chocolate and roasted malt, a bit of coffee too. Wonderful stuff.

1 pint .9 fl oz bottle. With the pour, a nice creamy light cream colored head, brown cola colored, and a medium bodied appearance with some particulate. Not a whole lot on the aroma. Fairly fruity for a porter, there’s some notes of peaches and berries, along with roasted malts, mild cocoa, light coffee, and earth. Body is creamy, though slightly hot and mildly carbonated. Flavor notes of roasted malts, similar fruits to the aroma with light berry and other mild fruits, caramel cookie, toast, earth, light resiny grass, and mild citrus. Overall, things just didn’t come together as well as I was maybe expecting. Some good things going on, though not quite up to snuff.

A nice, off white head, on top of a black beer.
Aroma; This is really coffee mocca, with alot of chocolaty coffee on the nose. Also getting some yeast notes, maybe some spice and pineneedle aswell. Tobacco after some time in the glass
Flavour; Pineneedle, some coffeebeans, really getting a earthy note here aswell. there is a good carbonation, good lenght, and finishes solid and dry.
Summary; It does not blow me away, but it’s a really solid porter!!

Pours black. Nose is dark fruits chocolate cake, coffee, and breads. no hop aroma. Taste is chocolate, coffee, and some malts. Starts sweet then finishes dry but not too bitter. Thin but smooth mouthfeel. good beer but I expected more complexity and fullness.

Aroma has notes of coffee, chocolate and licorice. Taste is medium sweet, lightly bitter, full body, soft carbonation.

Nice porter but nothing compared to its big brother. Nice taste of sweet chocolate, coffee and roasted malt
