3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Papsoe (25131) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 3, 2006
(Bottle 50 cl) Pours pitch black with a weak, reddish tint and a handsome, creamy and cappuchinoish, beige head leaving laces. Soft aroma of hard roasted malts with a whiff of chocolate. Surprisingly light-bodied - almost a bit watery. Lots of roasted malt, lightly coffeeish and dry - very dry indeed. Lightbitter finish. Pleasant if not exactly a great Porter. 020606
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 mds (2118) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 1, 2006
Bottle. Pours black with a reddish tinge on the edge and a mocha head. Raisin chocolate aroma and it’s relatively fruity overall. Fluffy and light body with chocolate, oats, and bread flavour contributions. The finish is slightly metallic. Not bad.
Sampled at the Københavnske Øldage 2006 on May 20, 2006.

Dark brown, almost black. Tan smallish head. Light aroma, sweet, fruity alcoholic nose. Dark, roast front, medium sweet sugars. Flat and boring forgettable porter.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 kramer (3875) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 22, 2006
500 ml bottle, via Mr Walker and sk8viking. Completely black pour with a small and creamy brown head. Very good retention, moderate sediment in bottle. Very chocolaty aroma, a little yeast, roast, and some coffee. Flavor is similar to aroma, chocolate malt and a hoppy bitterness up front. Finish is chalky with a drying yeast character and a little burnt toast. Mouthfeel is full bodied and slightly oily in texture with soft carbonation. Very nice overall, full of flavor with a pleasant mouthfeel.

Very nice roasted malt and chocolate aroma but has a bit of a nose tingling sharpness to the aroma that I can’t pin down. Dark brown to black body with a slowly diminshing thumb thick mocha head. Fore is slightly smokey and segues into stale coffee and chocolate. Nice roasty bitterness in the middle and finish. Doesn’t quite have enough freshness to the chocolate malt asspect to it, but still a pretty spot on Porter. Some mild nuttiness in the far aftertaste reminds me of a brown ale.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 henrikb (1257) - Aarhus, DENMARK - MAY 14, 2006
UPDATED: JUN 8, 2006 Dark brown body, light brown creamy head, no laces; quite big, deep and complex nose: loads of chocolate malt, cacao and some strange notes like a combination of hop and yeast; very full, bitter body, creamy/oily texture; long finish, first very warm. creamy and little bitter: cacao, malt, bitter chocolate. Lacks a bit the balance between nose and body, body is almost to powerful at least in comparison with the nose. Good (not great) beer. - - - - - - - Tasted blind at Sk8vikings amazing Porter/Stout tasting (5-4-6-3-13) - Black body, creamy small head; Quite small closed, a little metallic nose. With some brown sugar and very little dry hop; Big bubbled little creamy body, watery textured; Into quite long but very discrete watery finish, not a lot of aroma, mostly dry hop (like I could imagine hop the).

UPDATED: OCT 14, 2011 A werry nice porter!
Black body, Lots of casade and sweet dark chocolate. full body, Long finsih.
I re rated this now, when I drink this Porter in Norway.I Thin the Flavor is more caracterritic, and more tasty then ever. A werry nice Porter!!
Nögne Ö Porter from 19.07.03: Bottle: Black colour, with a alost flat head. Aroma is dominated of sweet caramell, dry fruits, and choclate and some coffe in the end, yeas og cource fruity finsh. aflavor is almost the same here, milder than the the was new, but enyay a comlisity that is nice and refresh, in a old porter. My bee if the porter was a little bit stronger( a imp porter round 9-10%) it will be moore carakteristic, But it dosent matter I Like it it has a nice round tastu profile and a mediu to long bitter finsh. Interesting and a nice profile with aging!: 7/4/4-16- 3,8!!
