Bottle from Kris Wines. Dark black colour with a huge beige head, lots of initial carbonation. Roasty, currant and fruit cake, a fair alcoholic kick, some dark and dirty tar in the finish. Drinks very smoothly for all its full flavour. More of a stout than a porter, or maybe an imperial porter if such a thing exists, but either way high quality stuff.

It has beautiful aroma of dark chocolate and tanned bread’s skin. It’s pitch black, non-transparent, with huge head. I think it’s a little bit over-carbonated. It looks so and gives the mouth feeling as well. Except that, in the mouth it’s super smooth, thick and dense. In taste it’s also chocolate, a bit malty, with dark tanned bread notes. It’s perfectly balanced. Leaves strong, dark and bitter aftertaste. Great porter!

(50 cl bottle from Heinemann Gardermoen; Batch #1093D; Bottled on December 19th 2013; BBD: December 19th 2016) Pours black with two finger, tan head. Decent retention and beautiful lace. Aroma is subtly toasted with herbal hop notes. Smooth, oily texture, soft carbonation, medium body and a lingering, dry finish. Flavour is really smooth and mostly toasted malt with connotations of drinking liquid chocolate or coffee. Very pleasant.

Sporo akcentow czekolady gorzkiej, deserowej. Troche kakao, bardzo polecam bo to dobry i uczciwy porter.

19 April 2014. Purchased from Gooden in Taipei. Opaque brown-black with fine beige head and lots of lacing. Smells strongly of coffee with some malt and ripe fruit and smoke in the background. Tastes more acidic than the aroma, burnt roasted malts with some very bitter hop and coffee to balance. Body is a bit watery but has nice fizzy carbonation. A great porter.

Fantastic... There are red fruits over a roasted coffee base. It’s like a choco fruit cake. Cake, fruit, then cake again. Amazing

Bottle. Aroma smoke, roasted, alcohol. Clear dark brown colour. Taste is malt-centered, but there is decent supporting bitterness. Smoked, chocolate, light light coffee. Overall smooth mouthfeel, no astringency, very easy drinking. Very good beer, long roasted finish.
