Pours very dark brown with a sudsy brown head that had good retention. The aroma has roasted malt, lush creamy aspects, milk chocolate and rich vanilla. Medium / full body with a smooth slick and soft carbonation. The flavor starts off with milk chocolate, roasted malt showing very little bitterness, vanilla cream and light hoppy spice. The finish shows more spice and some white chocolate. Big thumbs up for this world class porter.

Tap@Patricks.Pours black with a tan head.Aroma of coffee, chocolate, roasted and toasted malts.Flavor is swwet and roasted with lots of toasted and chocolate notes.Medium body, average carbonation.Classic Porter.

bottle - Pours black with a nice tan head. There’s a rich, chocolaty roast malt aroma. The flavor has elements of chocolate and coffee vying with the dark roast malt. Creamy, full bodied, and smooth, there’s a touch of bitterness in the finish. This is an excellent porter. thanks to bdigi66 for sharing this gem.

Bottle, 50cl. Pours a clear and dark brown beer with a large offwhite head. The aroma is malt, roasted and notes of licorice. The flavor is close to the nose with additional alcohol. The palate is dry with roasted notes and some alcoholwarmth. Overall a good beer.

16.9 ounce bottle purchased from Monument Wine and Liquors. Aroma is of cigarettes and ash trays. Some licorice notes and metallic aromas are also present. Eh, not overly appealing. Opaque black body with a frothy tan head. This is beautiful, but I have to give it a 4 because it was crazy overcarbonated and spilled over when I opened it. Astringent, carbonated start. Becomes a little roasted, burnt, and ashy in the middle. Some light licorice flavors are apparent later. A somewhat dry, hopped, bitter finish with some metallic flavors, too.

bottle from west lakeview......pours dark brown with reddish brown edges. very thin soapy beige head.... aroma of roasted chocolate malt and maybe a little dark fruit but very little.... flavors of smoky chocolate malt with medium carbonation and body....i don’t have a whole lot to say about this one i’m afraid....not a bad porter but far from being a special one.

Poured deep brown-rubby-ish color with a decent tan head. Aroma was coffee. Flavor was coffee, nuts, light chocolate support, some licorice. Finishes with a touch of bitter roasted malts and light hops. Much more simple than I was expecting, yet very enjoyable. Mouthfeel was lightly carbonated, and very smooth.

Black with a beige head. Aroma heavy malty (roasted, burnt, coffee, dark fruit) Flavor heavy sweet and bitter. Medium body.
