Big roasty nose, coffee, soy, and some licorice. Quite hoppy, pine notes, and a very dry bitter espresso finish. A little too hoppy for a porter in my opinion, but its pretty good.

Left me start this by saying, I drank this immediately after drinking the Olfabrikken Porter, so needless to say, it came in second. Pours a watery opaque black with a slightly off white head that faded quickly. Smells of roasted malt, sugar and dark fruits. Flavor is malty, but not too roasted, toffee, oranges and more dark fruit. Finish is smooth but a little watery. Very drinkable and pleasant.

Bottle. Pours black with a reddish tinge on the edge and a mocha head. Raisin chocolate aroma and it’s relatively fruity overall. Fluffy and light body with chocolate, oats, and bread flavour contributions. The finish is slightly metallic. Not bad.
