Black colur with a mediumsized head. Aroma of coffee and oak undertones. Flavor is roasted with coffee and strongly bitter. Pretty boring porter overall. Watery finish.

Bottle. Poured a black body with decent size head. Aroma is of chocolate, roasted malt, and a small amount of hops. Flavor is smooth and creamy. Taste of sweet and bitter chocolate, malt, and a small amount of coffee. Gets better as it warms - first taste wasn’t that impressive but found myself loving it halfway through.

Bottle. Black pour with ruby hightlights. Slowly diminishing tan head. Aroma displays malts — roasted grain, chocolate, nuts and a hint of hops, particuarly pine. Hints of chocolate and coffee. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. However, it finishes up moderately bitter and moderately acidic and leaves hints of smoked peat and roasted malts. Wonderful creamy texture and medium body. Lively carbonation. Smooth, clean, nicely bittered porter with pleasant, somewhat complex aroma and lots of flavor.

Bottle from Beers of the World. Completely matte black pour with a really beautiful head of thick dense mocha cream. This is a nice looking porter. There is also some lacing on the glass that adds to its attractiveness. The aroma is surprisingly lacking. I can pick up some mild roast and some alcohol but not much else. The aroma is pretty weak. The flavor is a completely different story. The first sip told me I was going to like this beer, but as the first big mouthful roller over my tongue I am thinking more along the lines of love. The silky smooth body carries with it a delicate combination of creamy milk chocolate and some assertive but smooth and mild roast. It’s a big flavor but it weight lightly on the tongue. There are some traces of alcohol but all-in-all very good.

Yay! Rare beer for me! The first of 21.5L of beer that I brought back from Las Vegas in my childrens luggage.

Dumped out a massive brown crown even with a soft pour. Super dark brown brew. Keeps a decent amount hanging around but leaves almost no lacing :( The aroma is pretty obvious early on but does fade: lots of chocolate, quiet coffee, good amount of roast and I can swear that I have found orange hiding far in the background. The taste is more coffee than chocolate when warm but that flips after awhile. Good bitterness with a slight citrus and leafy hop taste. Some nutty taste as well. Not much else there but that is irrelevant cause it’s just so damn drinkable. Smooth and higher than mid bodied; finishes dry and bitter. Pretty good. The down side - I’ve got a quarter of a glass filled with sediment and in this case this beer is much much better clean.

500 ml. bottle. Shared with Gabe. Pours an exuberant mocha head, with some lacing, over a dark black/brown (SRM 38) slightly cloudy body.....nose is coffee, cocoa, some grain....taste is coffee, cocoa, with heavy bitterness....mouth feel is medium, carbonation high. The bitterness from the roasted malts was out of balance with the rest of the ingredients. I wonder if the bottle was off, given the descriptions of other reviewers.

UPDATED: OCT 14, 2011 A werry nice porter! Black body, Lots of casade and sweet dark chocolate. full body, Long finsih. I re rated this now, when I drink this Porter in Norway.I Thin the Flavor is more caracterritic, and more tasty then ever. A werry nice Porter!! Nögne Ö Porter from 19.07.03: Bottle: Black colour, with a alost flat head. Aroma is dominated of sweet caramell, dry fruits, and choclate and some coffe in the end, yeas og cource fruity finsh. aflavor is almost the same here, milder than the the was new, but enyay a comlisity that is nice and refresh, in a old porter. My bee if the porter was a little bit stronger( a imp porter round 9-10%) it will be moore carakteristic, But it dosent matter I Like it it has a nice round tastu profile and a mediu to long bitter finsh. Interesting and a nice profile with aging!: 7/4/4-16- 3,8!!

chocolate with a deep sweetness and touch of vanilla. dried fruits evident with a hint of almond. busy beer makes it seem thicker than it is but this is only somewhat thicke in the palate. deep flavor overall this brew lingers and reveals some roastiness. some earth and a frothy and lasting head. you get what you pay for.....sometimes.
