BeerandBlues2 (5594) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - AUG 2, 2007
Bottle purchased at Liquor Max in Loveland. Pours black with a small fizzy light brown head, somewhat diminishing, fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (straw, chocolate, toasted, nutty), light hops (perfume, grass), average yeast (dough, leather) with notes of light alcohol. Medium bodied, creamy texture, soft carbonation and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

500 ml bottle poured a nearly opaque blach with a brown tint and a small lastingtan head. Aromas of milk chocolate, vanilla, coffee and a hint of licorice. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of dark chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, light vanilla and a hint of licorice with a smooth lingering bittersweet finish.

Bottle Many thanks to Craig aka cgarvieuk for this bottle Poured black with nice beige head ’quite thick’. Aroma was a little nutty and with subtle coffee notes as well. Tasted quite indulgent with nutty flavours, complimented by a lovely rich smoothness, quite filling and done very well.

Cask@Chelmsford Beer Festival. A really nice soft roasty porter. Smoky chocolate flavours also notice, touches of dark fruit.berries but the main thing is the roasty characters. Finish is quite dry and more-ish, i like this a lot.

BückDich (5468) - McCall, Idaho, USA - JUL 15, 2007
Bottle: Black, oily tan head, light lacing. The nose is sweet with licorice and roast, nice chocolate and coffee, bitter cocoa and hops, light alcohol. The flavor has a big nice body with tasty roasted notes and fruity alcohol. Super roasty, typical of this brewery, which is nice to see.
