Pours very dark brown with a sudsy brown head that had good retention. The aroma has roasted malt, lush creamy aspects, milk chocolate and rich vanilla. Medium / full body with a smooth slick and soft carbonation. The flavor starts off with milk chocolate, roasted malt showing very little bitterness, vanilla cream and light hoppy spice. The finish shows more spice and some white chocolate. Big thumbs up for this world class porter.

Good sized frothy milky brown head of very fine and dense bubbles. Minimal carbonation. Sweet malty aroma with plenty of chocolate, roasted grains, chocolate covered cherries and a hint of smoke. Color is essentially black. Rich roasty flavor. Full bodied and full of flavor. Dark bittersweet chocolate, coffee, some licorice and milk late swallow. Very easy drinking. Finishes creamy smooth and roasty. Slight lingering bitterness. A great porter!

Inky black body with a thin beige head of tiny bubbles. Aromas of chocolate, coffee and some caramel. Chocolatey flavor along with some coffee and subtle hints of smoke and a bitter finish. A little thin in the mouth but very lively.

Aroma is rich malt, chocolate cake frosting, a touch of strawberry jam, and a coffee bean or two, pretty amazing complexity for a porter, All that variety just dosen’t make it to the taste, surprisingly lighter body, with malt wort and cocoa powder dominating the lighter taste, some coffee bitterness in finish. Touch of fruitness on about third sip, tastes settles into a lighter choclate taste, smooth and creamy ,some unidentified globules on the bottom of the glass. Will have to check out the higher rated brews from this wonderful brewery. Thanks Axel

Bottle - 500ml. Opaque black body topped with a lasting beige foamy/creamy head. Lovely malty aroma with roasty, coffeeish, and cocoa hints. Some subtle smokiness is also detectable. Taste is complex, robust, and very well balanced. It ends with a long and warming bitter/roasty finish. Excellent Porter.

Pours a dark smokey looking black, with a very nice brown/tan head that sticks around for awhile. Nice smokey chocolate, coffee, and a carmelized fruit sweetness. Nice medium carbonation with a hint of floral hops on the finish. The flavor is not as full as the color and nose would suggest, but the finish is amazing. Nice light choclate wafer sweetness with hints of coffee and dried fruits. A very nice porter.
