50 cl bottle @ Olutravintola Konttori, Tampere. Batch #406. Brewed on 21.01.2009, BBE 21.01.2014.
Originally rated on 20090214. (8+4+9+4+16)
Pours dark ruby re colour with medium head. Aroma of lots of berries like bilberry, mild roasted malts, light chocolate, dry mocha-like coffee and light caramel. Flavour of bilberries, toasted malts, mild coffee, chocolate and mild toffee at the end. Smooth palate with a surpisingly berry-like flavour. Balanced and very drinkable brew.

Served on tap in a standard pint glass at TJ’s. This beer poured a very dark brown/black with a mocha head which dissaptes completely. Lacing is ample and lasting. Nose is chocolate, caramel, malts, and dark fruits. Taste is sweeter with dark chocolate, roasted coffee, licorace and some dark fruits. Hops add some citrus and a welcome bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium with decent carbonation. FInish is a little sticky but not unpleasantly so. All-in-all, this was a nice offering I would try again for sure

Bottle. Pours very dark ruby, nearly black, with a large, retaining light brown head. Aroma is full of roasted malt, coffee, vanilla and chocolate. Flavour is much the same as the aroma, without vanilla, but is very creamy, with a nice amount of bitterness. Mouthfeel is quite thick and creamy also and has a long-ish finish. A great porter in all respects.

Pours a black color with a caramel colored head. Has an aroma of roast and chocolate with hints of caramel and dark fruit. Has a roasty molasses sweet start with perhaps some coffee spice and a nice velvety chocolate finish. Medium mouthfeel. Tasty porter.

Tap @ Håndverkerstuene, Oslo. Pours pitch black with a small brown head leaving lace. Aroma is roasted malty, dry, coffee, licorice and hoppy. Flavor is lean and balanced malty, roasted, coffee, licorice, bitter, slightly fruity and a bit sweet. Finishes with a good bitter tart aftertaste. Very drinkable, not too heavy.
