Tried at SIB. Like many beers, this one needs to warm a little before you’re able to get the full effect of the taste. Lots of smooth chocolate with a little coffee and moderate roast. Pretty tasty porter...would definitely have again.

Pours very dark, near pitch black, with a one finger tan head that fades qui8ckly to a thin cap. The resulting lacing forms sheets in the glass, but does not stick all that well.
Smell; very roasty, with dark chocolate and coffee, and little bit of a sourness.
Taste; as with the aroma the flavor is very much dark roasted malts, eith some chocolate and coffee. There’s also a little nit of a hop bitterness followed by a touch of a charred flavor and little bit of sour. This is a very good porter.
Mouthfeel is a bit on the thin side, which is my only real complaint about this beer, and there’s a bit of warming in the back of the throat. The drinkabiliity is very good as well.

Poured a very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is mostly of coffee and some caramel. Taste is also mainly coffee but a bit watery for my expectations.

The color was a deep chocolate brown. The head was creamy, light beige, and laced a little. The aroma was alcohol, roasty, coffee, very malty, and some chocolate. The appearance and aroma reminded me of a stout. The flavor was sweet, coffee, and roast. There was a dry waxyness at the back of the mouth. The palate was smooth and slightly carbonated. The finish was warm and roasty.

From a 500 ml bottle, this was the fourth beer sampled at Cellar’s Nøgne Ø on Friday. Pours a dark mahogany brew with a thin tan head. Aroma of sweet roasted malt barley, caramel, some milk chocolate and bread dough yeast. Not much hop presence in aroma. Taste is semi-sweet, fruity, and some raspberry/coffee. A slight bitter aftertaste. Very good porter.

Poured from a bottle was a pretty dark brown beer with a good tan head. Nice aromas of sweet chocolate roasty malt. Pretty pleasantly smooth in your mouth. A little carbonation and good chocolate cofee like flavors. Good finish for a porter. Pretty solid beer.

Bottle Timfoolery aquired on trip to Southern California. Poured a dark brown with just a slight amount of a tan head. Definately tasted the coffee flavors thoughout the the entire beer experience. The roasted malts a brought out as the beer warms. Good beer!!

16.9oz bottle, pours out black with a HUGE tan head that lasts forever. Strong scent of coffee and dried fruits, starts with a coffee taste which turns to chocolate and leads to a creamy chocolate aftertaste. A fine porter.
