COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Gresskarøl er en plage å brygge. Mesken blir som en tykk grøt som det tar en evighet å sile av. I denne ølen brukte vi tørkede biter av gresskar. Avsilingen tok 7 timer. Men litt gøy var det likevel!

Pumpkin Ale is a nightmare to brew. The mash becomes impermiable and it takes forever to collect the wort from it. In this beer we used dried pumpkin. The runoff took 7 hours. We still enjoyed it though.

Sweet spicy aroma. Taste likewise. Not getting pumpkin. Lovely rich sticky roast. Burnt, even. Interesting, certainly, and probably the best brew I’ve had which has had pumpkin in it, which I normally hate.

(Bottle) Foam gushing out upon opening. Reddish brown colour with huge, frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity, herbal nose with dark bread, caramel, cola, julmust (Swedish softdrink), roasted pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg. Malty, herbal taste with notes of dark bread, toast, cola, crisp-bread, vegetables, coffee, pepper, spices and a balanced metallic bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. A bit weird, but fairly well balanced. Quite nice.
