Gresskarøl er en plage å brygge. Mesken blir som en tykk grøt som det tar en evighet å sile av. I denne ølen brukte vi tørkede biter av gresskar. Avsilingen tok 7 timer. Men litt gøy var det likevel!

Pumpkin Ale is a nightmare to brew. The mash becomes impermiable and it takes forever to collect the wort from it. In this beer we used dried pumpkin. The runoff took 7 hours. We still enjoyed it though.

Mørk brun klar med høyt beige skum. Lukter brent karamell, kaffe og mørke frukter. Finner ikke gresskarlukten, men hvordan lukter gresskar da? Middels fylde. Noe salt smak. Kaffe og lett fruktighet. Saltbitter avsluttning.

UPDATED: NOV 16, 2013 21.09.2013. On tap at Haugesund ølfestival. Amber colour with white head. Aroma is really hoppy with dry bitterness. But there is also some sweetness at the end. Very good beer with good body and lots of flavours. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rating #1700!
Pours a very deep copper body with an eggnog head that sticks around for quite some time and leaves lots of lacing on my glass. Malty and strong aroma of sweet caramel, dark caramel, grains and lots of fruits. Strong flavour of dark caramel, roasted malt and dark fruits (I guess this is the pumpkin), with a background of chocolate, dark dried fruits, ash and alcohol. Light to moderate sweet taste with a moderate to light bitter finish. Medium body, smooth texture and moderate carbonation. A nice and complex beer.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy reddish brown colour with a small beige head. Aroma of dried fruit, coffee, oak, nuts, pine and grassy hops. The flavour is similar with oak, nuts, cocoa and pine. Has a slick mouth feel, medium body and balanced bitterness. I don’t find the pumpkin in this beer, but is anyhow filled with hops and malt. Well-balanced.
