Draft tap. One of the Nøgne Ø founders recommended this one to me. The head was rather flat, and instantly the aroma was absent. The palate was sharp and it was overall pretty bitter. After a while - a few minutes - the fantastic and sweet pumpkin aftertaste revealed itself and took over the show, and THAT was what made this beer so good.

Bottle at Ultra Sørlandssenteret (named Pumpkin Ale, I hope it is the correct beer). Pours redish brown. Some light orange head. Malt and vegetable nose. Some sweetness, gets bitter at the end. A lot of taste in a store bought beer! Aroma is malt, hops, light metal, vegetables (carrots and what I’ll have to guess is pumpkin). Very good! Will buy again if I can find more.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours amber with a small off white head which quickly disappears. Nose shows some bread and spiced caramel. Some floral hop tones in there too. The hop bitterness shines in this. Has a light herbal note throughout with some citrus and nutmeggy spices that work well together. Soft and bitter finish makes this a quaffer. Really tasty stuff

50 cl bottle from Centra Høvik. Pours murky brown with a large brown head that leaves a good lacing. Aroma of caramel and some herbs. medium sweetness, light and long bitterness, medium sourness. Some perfeume notes as well. Pumpkin is also there but that much. Interesting one and a good one.

On tap at the sail. Really enjoyed this! Pours a dark brown with a small tanned head. Nose has lots of bread and caramel. Can't really taste the pumpkin at all. Floral hops shine through nicely. Soft carbonation. Tastes like a watered down stout. Very refreshing and easy to drink ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours dark red, dark in glass, thick tanned head. Smell of pumpkin, fruity malts, hops, bread, nice complexity. Moderate sweet, nice malty flavors, bread and pumpkin, balanced nice off. Moderate bitter finish. Very nice!

From tap @Pingvinen, Bergen. Cloudy brown body. Low beige head. Spiced caramelly malt aroma, with a fresh sour tone to it. Smooth on the palate. Medium full. Quite so flavorfull. Good malt body. Herbal, caramelly and gently spiced. Pumpkin is noticable, and certainly not overdone. Light perfumey endnotes. A very likeable one. [07.09.12]

Pours brown with a small head. Nose shows sweet bready malt, vegetable notes, malted grains, soft pumpkin and booze. Somewhat faint. Pumpkin is more prominent as a flavour but still not strong. It’s more about the bready malt with a bit of sweetness. Carbonation seems a bit high.
