We brewed this ale with the famous sake yeast No 7 from Masumi Sake in Nagano, Japan. On advise from Masumi’s master brewers, we fermented this ale very slowly at low temperatures to bring out No 7’s fabulously fruity character. This product is unfiltered and unpasteurized. Please enjoy chilled! Special thanks to Masumi!

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of rice, malt, caramel, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, sake, caramel, alcohol, malt, and rice, leading to a dry finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Nice little 250ml bottle, batch 741, in a red cylinder box ordered through Vinmonopolet (nettbutikk). Bubbly, beige head resting for a while on top of a dark orange coloured body, slightly hazy. Plums and earthy malts to the nose, vinous. Rather rich taste of biscuit malts, dried fruits and sweet berries. Bittersweet round off. Tingling alcohol on the tongue all the way. Full bodied. Mellow, sweet and rather flat in the mouth. Fine, slow sipper on a Friday eve (Tromsø, 15.03.2013).

Bottle 25 cl, BBE 12/20/2016. Pours amber in color with thin bubbly off-white head. Sweet honey, cantaloupe and that sticky hoppyness in aroma. Perhaps that cantaloupe kind of sweetness comes from the sake yeast they used. Sweet in taste at first, some honey and ripe garden fruityness but also a bit of malts is there. Slightly bitter in aftertaste as well, but the sweeter side gains victory here. No sign of the alcohol. Pretty good as a sweet dessert beer.

Clear ruby liquid with a small white head. Sweet and vinous in the nose. Taste is... not as good as 1st ed, and a big disappointment tbh. Hard to describe the taste, but it’s sweet and unfamiliar. Pretty watery aswell.
