4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tap at Mikkeller bar, Copenhagen.
Murky-cloudy deep amber oily liquid with a small tan head that diminishes quickly. Heavy, spicey aroma with caramel, casks and fruits, peach and honey with alcoholic raisins, vanila, some tartness like Brett...Thick body , oily like honey, smooth mouthfeel, complex texture. Vanilla and sweet caramel with a hard but well balanced resiny hop, alcohol with raisins, vinous oak casks. Alcoholic hop extract numbling the palate. Long tart and sweet and dry and complex aftertaste. What a beer is this???

Copper- amber, hazy, very small fully diminishing head. Moderate to heavy malty aroma, caramel and fruity with dark berries, some alcohol. Body is medium to full, flavor is malty and sweet caramel, fruity and dark berries, herbal hoppyness and licorice. Finish is moderate and malty, herbal hoppyness and some alcohol. Not really interesting BW, some herbal hoppyness though.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap at Mikkeller bar. Aroma reminiscent of Barley Wine and marzipan. Taste very much of almonds but too much taste of alcohol. Is like a poorly balanced almond liqeur in many ways.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Really as unique as others have described. The sake note is not as prevalent as I was expecting, and really integrates seemlessly in to the final product. Big, alcoholic thick and sticky. Definitely a bit too much alcohol. This will be very interesting to age. Good to try but won’t be going back for more - especially at the price.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Mahogny red/brown colour, hardly any head but it´s not dead, there are alot of bubbles.
On the nose it´s intense, there is a sweet fruityness from the alcohol, with raisins and dried fruit as the main aromas.
On the palate it´s very rich. I mean REALLY rich on taste. It´s warm from the alcohol, but not "sticky" as you can get with higher alcoholed beer. A looong aftertaste with dried lemon as the main component!
On of the best beers I have ever had, served at 12 C in a big-ass glass

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap. Pours a cloudy opaque dark amber with hardly any head. Strange herbal aroma and loadsa booze up the nose. Medium body, completely flat, very fruity and somewhat yeasty and otherwise just heavy booze. Fairly extreme. You definitely get the Sake touch here, but as a beer it’s not really that pleasant. Interesting experiment though. 200910
